I'm holding out hope that TakTom will remold that Windblade for a TAV version like they did with FOC Grimlock into TAV Grimmy.

Yeah it seems like something they'd do at this point.

Yeah... these definitely look like $5 toys. That Strongarm manages to look better than the deluxe... which is kinda sad.

Agreed. RID and IDW Windblade are very similar to each other anyway so it makes sense to use the Generations mold and retool it to match the RID15 version better.

Annnnnd Hasbro shows how nothing is too cheap to do. The rear wheels on clampdown are the new and not improved clip on wheels where Hasbro just extrudes plastic from the body and slaps a so called tire around it.

It is just the latest move to save any penny they can no matter how bad it makes the toy look. They did it on all of the Constructicons and could not be more of an eye sore. They are doing it now on so many figures on the front wheels. Regardless if the plastic sticking out is not a black color to match the tire.

I really have to wonder how cheap they can go before it hits a point where collectors stop collecting the brand.

Welp, I suppose I should be thankful to Hasbro anyway because their Windblade is what made me cave in and order Windsaber.

Thunderhoof and Clampdown will be mine, though.

It's always a gamble, and you have to accept that the RiD 2015 toys look a bit junky, but... people calling the Windblade KO-looking really have it, IMO. Not bothering to learn these size classes. Still, the Calmpdown is cool - I remember people being pretty certain it'd be a while before we got these creative 'Con designs in toy form! I'm gonna disappointed that Clampdown just kinda OPENS UP to his robot mode. You can tell the arms don't do anything except detach - takin 'advantage of the robot mode proporions would've been stupid NOT to do, but it's a bit simplistic for me.

TED Springload, on the other hand...

    Derpblade, lol.

Thing is, it's not a smirk, but a paint defect. If you magnify this photo then you will notice that it's an uncovered spot of a red plastic somewhere under her lower lip...

It has the same shaded red color as area under her eyebrows. There's a slight trace of shadow indicating both her lips visible well above this spot.

A promo shot. With a paint defect. Granted, it may not be present on every specimen, but this is a promo shot.

Can't wait for Clampdown. And as someone said earlier in the thread, it sure seems like he was meant to scale with Warrior class Decepticons. At this size he'll look pretty perfect standing next to Warrior Thunderhoof, Steeljaw, etc... even if as a group they look smaller than they should next to the Autobots.

I counter with a promo shot of a misassembled toy, a promo shot of a toy with the leg detached from the ball joint inside the packaging and a promo shot of damaged packaging:

Let's also remember Universe 2.0 Sideswipe's stock photo, which shows him mistransformed!
