I love that he's not just a statue, he's poseable and so expressive! Amazing work here.

Yep, he's really that big, movie-scale. I don't have a Fort Max, but I know the Generations Metroplex was either about the same height or slightly taller than Fort Max at around 24". Wheelie's height was adjustable too, all depending how much you bent his hips, knees, ankles and raised the head.

Yeah it was kinda weird to finally see him standing there in my living-room! I really liked this little guy.

Well my Metroplex is all in pieces being painted up as the new Titan, so I stuck the MP-Prime in there for some kind of scale, since most collectors could relate. Prime is only about 11", and he looks pretty small in comparison, less than half Wheelie's height, Wheelie is about 4" taller than Generations Metroplex. And oh yes, even though I was able to use the majority of the truck-body parts, all those parts had to be cut out precisely and some even heated and bent to get the result I wanted, there really were no shortcuts on this one. As far as other characters built in this same scale, it's all possible if I could find some vehicle-shells that I could use and not have to scratch-build. It would be kinda tricky finding the right scale car or truck, being the figure would be made in bot-mode. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it, if somebody decides to commission one someday. ;)

    Thanks! :rock

Thanks, not bad for 2-1/2 month's work I guess.

That was Frenzy. :p  I did get some pics of Frenzy doing that too though.

    Thank ya!

Thanks man, the new owner said it was a masterpiece as well, that made my day. He did manage to get a pic of Wheelie with his Beaterbee and actor Tony Todd altogether in one pic this past weekend, I'm gonna post it here and share it.

That makes 2 of us, couldn't believe I tackled this in less than 3 months.

Thanks, the client thought so too, and that's what it's all about at the end of the day, so a happy client makes me happy! :D

I still sit and stare at the pics of this thing too, in disbelief I pulled it off so fast. Too bad he couldn't stick around a little longer, as soon as I took pics, he had to ship out.

    :rock

The funny thing is, I could've done more with it had I been given more time, so I was very conservative & wise about what I spent my time on throughout. I had to cut a few corners, but overall I think I did pretty good considering.

Well after I pulled-off the movie-Frenzy build, it was like, "well how do I possibly top that?" Everything was easy after that, but despite his much-smaller size, this one was exceptionally tough given the detail I had to pull off in such a short time-frame.

    Yeah, yeah, yeah......

He wouldn't be able to see over the door's edge in the passenger-seat, lol! :lol  The new owner actually had the metal box Mikaela trapped him in from the movie, so he displayed him standing in it at this past-weekend's Valley Con. He looks much better standing alone, but it was cool to actually see the 2 pieces together.

Thanks man, but I doubt Hasbro is very fond of me.

Just takes a lot of time & experience.

Thanks for the compliments man. I look at this thing in disbelief that I pulled it off in less than 3 months, and I sometimes get ashamed that I had doubt many times I'd get it done for the deadline. I had quite a few days of panic, realizing just how much work I had ahead of me, with literally NO time to spare for trial-and-error or f**k-ups, and you bet there were plenty of f**k-ups, well into the final photo-shoot. There were some long nights in the final 2 weeks of this one.

Yeah, the personality was all pivotal on the articulation of the eyes, mouth and eyeborows, very important for the figure overall. The posability of the face is almost limitless, worked out really well!

    :rock

I was laughing the whole time I was gettin' that skit together. It was 4 in the morning, I was tired & burnt-out, but I enjoyed throwing that in there, gave some nice comedy-relief, what Wheelie was so well-known for in the movie. You really start to appreciate the characters more intimately when you do a build like this, and get in their heads for a better feel for the project overall, it helps motivate you and put more passion into it, I feel that's crucial....especially when you're in those final weeks of the build & you're burnt-out & ready to just get it done. That's where you really test your drive & see what you're made of.

Thanks man, it didn't come easy. Many years of practice, development and just simply finding my rhythm all play a part, and it's all finally starting to come together nicely. I don't really have a particular niche, and try to be diverse across the boards as far as what projects I take on, but I do try to keep pushing and outdo myself in one way or the other to keep it interesting, I like to challenge myself.

Damn duder, this turned out great. While I have little knowledge on the character, the amount of work and attention to detail here is just amazing.
