Oh man, I've been hoping for a chance to buy one of these for the last two years. Very excited to see that it looks like something has finally come of it. My Soundwave shelf is still in desperate need of a Tardis.

They did revive the Doctor series in the USA in 1996... and it got one episode. Okay, you are right.

The 1996 TV Movie was broadcast opposite the finale of Roseanne, so it was always going to get shoddy ratings across the pond. In the UK, it did a lot better (around 9m viewers IIRC), and proved the demand for new Who existed in the UK. In that respect, it was a success.

There are other links between Who and Transformers. A number of the people who worked on the UK comic later contributed to Doctor Who Magazine, including Alan Mackenzie, Sheila Cranna and Peri Godbold. One of the Early TFUK issues contained a feature on the Robots of Doctor Who. In Matt Smith's final season, a G1 Galvatron toy appeared on screen.

Transformers artist Andy Wildman has even contributed to the revived Doctor Who series. The Daleks were name checked in the TF story 'To a Power Unknown'. Writer David Wise penned TF episodes as well as a Doctor Who audio play. A number of Doctor Who soundtrack effects were used in the G1 cartoons, most notably the 'TARDIS' door opening noise can be heard as Sounwave plugs himself into the Decepticon computer during the opening scenes of the movie.

There's probably more links, but it's late here and I'm tired. One other thing about Doctor Who fans: never, ever, call a long-standing UK Doctor Who fan a "Whovian". It's a terrible modern Americanism that most fans over here really, really can't stand.

There is a recent link in the fiction. In the Ask Vector Prime story just a few days ago we learned Cy-Kill is in Axiom Nexus and among his arsenal is supposedly a Verronian Warp Star, taken from the Doctor Who episode "Jouyney's End". He bought it from Swindle... so it must be the real thing right?

The Doctor Who fan club in Detroit in the 80s that used to raise money to pay for the Tom Baker reruns to broadcast on public TV channel 56 called themselves Whovians. They used to stay up and man the phones during telethons giving away tote bags and disappearing TARDIS coffee mugs for donations!

Been a fan for over 35 years. Member of the fan club way back. It was all "Whovian's" back then, so not sure how "modern" the term really is.

Also wouldn't it be 14 heads?

Yeah I could have sworn Whovians was started by fans of the classic series :/

If affordable I would get this, but K-9's ears are wrong maybe necessary for transformation

Hopefully this is still coming, it's my second most wanted Nonnef toy after Trivia.

Being Masterpiece sized was just for the test phase. He'll actually fold open into another Titan sized Devastator..

Seriously though, I've been looking forward to a TARDIS figure since I saw what I thought was a one-off custom. That custom later turned out to be Nonnef's avatar.
