Yea I know they are going for more G1 accuracy, but some figures are suffering for it.

I've seen detailed videos showing the differences between Has or Tak Superion and for me, it's kinda the same as the rest of the unite series except maybe a slight bit more in Takara's favor. I own the Hasbro version and I quite like having black hands and feet as I feel the white on the Unite version is too overpowering regardless of G1 accuracy.

Superion is really the only one that's more slanted in the Takara side of things but that can totally be on an individual preference. Since then I think Takara has gone too G1 to a detriment.

Sunstreaker got the biggest "upgrade," I couldn't make myself buy that lemon yellow atrocity. Prowl looks much more himself, too.

 

Liking the Unite versions much better, but not going to rebuy

 

Lol kinda looks like Takara bought up all those Kraft mac n cheese colored RtS Bumblebees and melted down that cheesiness to make their Shells&Streaker.

 

Takara superior, Hasbro inferior.

Sunstreaker is a let down no matter what, but the darker yellow is better, and the Takara Mirage looks better also

 

In my area: the Hasbro sun streaker has become the new shell warmer in the store. For a certain reason, I like the cheese streaker more than Hasbro version.

 

I like all of them better pretty much (Ironhide I am neutral on) but not enough to shell out that much more.

 

Whenever I'm at the store he's usually the only one missing.

Suprised that they didn't give the HFGs silver paint on the Takara.

That being said the Takara has the better combined form. I wouldn't get the set for the combined mode thou.

Yup. Just as the anticipation for UW Defensor & Devastator simmers down, this one is up next.

I'm really liking the look of the yellow plastic on Sunstreaker and the more G1 color scheme of Prowl. But the best part is the added color to Prime himself, both in bot and gestalt mode. Even alt mode gets some of the grey parts cast in red.

Seriously... Blue. F'n. Feet.

Preordered and waiting. At least Sky Reign should be close if not already released come February when this set hits.
