And it is already has happened. Age of Ultron overall repeated a lot of the same plot points of the first avengers and people noticed. There are constant criticisms of villains with no personality beyond Loki.

For D.C its every movie since the dark knight is just trying to replicate that dark felling of it.

Now the only mcu movie that felt repetitive was age of ultron. Personally I'm more excited for the Netflix side of the mcu. The street level justice feels more untouched compared to the movie world shattering must save the world plots.

The rumor has already been debunked, so no worries.

Black Panther has had many attempts at being made and the reason we haven't gotten one years ago is because Marvel wanted to focus more on its more popular characters. And let's face the elephant in the room. Some old movie executives stupidly think movies with Black casts don't make money. We also can't forget about Perlmutter's stupid comments about female led comic book films which make you wonder how hard it was for Fiege to get Captain Marvel approved for Phase 3.

Nevertheless, Black Panther is one of the most if not THE most asked for movie from Marvel comic fans. The huge reaction at the Phase 3 reveal event when it was revealed shows that he matters to a lot of fans. Fiege has already explain how important he is going be in Phase 3 with references to Wakanda in AOU and his role in Civil War. And like Guardians (which a lot of Marvel comic fans didn't know much about) and Ant-Man have shown, it doesn't matter how obscure it is, as long as it has a good story and with the Marvel brand behind, it will make bank. Hell, the latter is probably the reason we're getting it now since it's less of a risk.

In a perfect world where Ant-Man didn't have production problems, I would replace Iron Man 2 with it (and title it Ant-Man and Wasp like the sequel) and place Black Panther at the end of Phase 2 to serve as a nice epilogue and lead in the Civil War. Bottom line, it's about damn time the first mainstream Black superhero gets his due.

Funny you mention Howard the Duck because, ironically, that was the first Marvel movie produced not counting the old serials.

Indeed, Even months pior to the Phase 3 reveal, Feige said that He's been asked for Black Panther and Captain Marvel more than an Iron Man 4, Black Widow or Avengers 3.

No, it was just a rumor. It would've been mentioned yesterday if it was really canceled.

Marvel is indeed still releasing Inhumans to theaters in 2019

Drew McWeeny, moderator of Marvel panels at Comic-Con and a veteran movie critic/journalist/sometimes scooper, is a lot more reliable than Bleeding Cool.

Its nice to know that there are certain areas for the Inhumans that Agents of SHIELD can use. Using somebody from the Royal Family or related would probably be a no-go unless it leads into the film itself.

I think Diesel has already been dropping hints at that. But nothing's official.

RUMOR: Marvel May Be Considering Scrapping IRON FIST; Update On INHUMANS Plans

Bleeding Cool - the site that first reported on those Fantastic Four behind the scenes troubles, something which was scoffed at by a number of other sites at the time - have expanded on their recent report about Inhumans with a troubling new update. Their film and comic book sources have apparently reached out to them about their claims, with one telling them that Inhumans was only announced as part of Phase 3 on the isistence of CEO Isaac Perlmutter. In return, Kevin Feige was able to give the green light to his own pet projects, Black Panther and Captain Marvel, but now that he's reporting directly to Disney, the plan is apparently to "de-prioritise it. Let it fall down the soldiers until, eventually, it’s said that they could never find the right people for it."

Iron Fist, a series we've already heard Marvel and Netflix are struggling to get right, is apparently being hit by a lot of Marvel Studios interference, as "they still do have a say and a signoff into how the show appear and the word is the show may be killed with such procedural notes." I'm really not sure what to make of this, but it's easy to imagine that there's some truth to what is being reported here.

I'm disappointed with the possibility of shelving Iron Fist. It has the potential to be awesome like TMNT, another comic-book martial arts series.

Still tis only a rumor, unless Marvel releases an official statement, nothing is official. And as are people are saying, it's Bleeding Cool.
