I wonder if these are even Beast Wars proper toys, or if they are part of the Beast Wars: Uprising story, where the Beast Wars never happened.

It's too bad they couldn't get the Unite Warriors Groove mold.

This one's a big miss for me. We JUST got a vehicle-mode Tarantulas from the Club. Like, JUST got one. And it was a better fit, in terms of mold. This is a very odd choice.

No, they can use Drag Strip as Sea Clamp, Silverbolt as Cicadacon. I would have expected Rook as Ramhorn. Maybe Offroad?

Hell, why not use the Legends Blackarachnia mold with a retooled head/chest? For a BW set I mean. Since we won't probably get the Legends fembots in the US...

I think there's an exception for Botcon stuff? Maybe?

Not necessarily. While Sea Clamp would have worked really well with this mold it doesn't mean the Tripredacus Council is ruled out at this point, just means that unless they double down on the Rook mold Sea Clamp is going to be a little off. And probably a car or something.

Fun Pub really likes their Tarantuluses. Tarantuli. Tarantulini? They really like making Tarantulas figures.

    What the hell?

    Instant pass.

Don't worry there won't be any bedbugs next year. But with the limited guestlist I think they can hold it out over in Brian Savage's house.

Don't think I'll be getting anything from this years box set, shame. It would have been cool if Tarantulus got made out of the Groove mold but don't think I would have gotten it then either.

I'm actually cool with this. I dig these colors on the Rook mold, especially the alt mode windows painted to be his "eyes." I just hope the attending box set price isn't stupid high like this year's was.

If any attendee 2-packs are solid, I can just get 'em via the store. But the box set is a pass.

Am I the only one who feels they should have at least tacked on an extra set of wheels in there somewhere so there are 8 wheels, you know, like a spider has 8 legs? Just saying.

**EDIT** I just saw that Ravage. That's...that's horrible.

Actually I give the Club a bit of credit on this one. They pretty much had to do a Predacon Combiner set due to Hasbro's wishes and the fact that they did a Maximal set for the 2006 show. So with that and mind and three of the box set's slots filled by the original Tripredacus members they only had two other characters to use, Ravage and Tarantulas.

Any other character wouldn't have made sense in the theme of the box set, and at least they use the Transmetal design instead of just giving us another season 1 styled Tarantulas.

I know it's not going to happen, but I would be hyped if they use the leader jetfire/seeker mold as like... Jetstorm? Waspinator? I dunno.

The sad part about all of this is that there will be people defending this insanity.

Why in the world is Tarrantulas a freaking ATV? What does that even reference? If they couldn't get a hold of Takara's Groove, why not just use Hasbro's Legends Groove?

Ravage looks like a pile of crap, but I can sort of make myself believe the excuse that it's just an homage to Alternators. But this? Seriously, I feel like Funpub is just picking out characters, and pulling mold choices at random out of a hat.

These guys should seriously consider doing a fan poll or member suggestion box or something. Because there hasn't been a good theme with solid mold choices since The Stunticon Job. And surprise, it was probably only any good because Derick Wyatt a say in things (despite FP totally screwing up Cheetor's head...).
