Ha ha ha. Dude, calm down. These are cool for sure and I will be buying, and everybody should be happy about these, but the fact remains that one line is a corner cutting budget toy, and the other line is an extravagant luxury toy.

3p isn't losing any sleep over these and these aren't losing any sleep over 3p. They don't compare, and they aren't even playing the same game.

Disappointed that Hardhead is a Deluxe, was really hoping on a Voyager class to pair w/ Brainstorm. Just hope that they give him a second blaster to be more G1 accurate now.

So what is Skullcruncher's tail supposed to be in robot mode? A cannon? Or is he just holding his tail by a peg in the back and just slapping people around with it (which actually wouldn't put me off buying it either)?

 

Enjoying our better figures, thank you. Not digging the Hasbro Skullcruncher's face sculpt or tail sword. There is also way too much noticeable hollow plastic in these things. Spend the few pennies more for some panels to cover that.

Also possibly kicking ourselves in the ass for being stuck with an oversized Brainstorm and Megatron.

I don't care that hardhead isn't a matching voyager to brainstorm. They aren't the same vehicle type. They have no reason to match. Other than because they did 30 years ago.

 

Probably whatever you feel like. The gun can attach to it to form a huge cannon and it can probably be manipulated to resemble a shield or something as well.

 

I like them, but the G1 geek in me prefers the G1 headmasters

 

That gator will be so much awesome! I love the look of it and Hardhead doesnt look too shabby either. Once the preorders go up im in!

I have a very short list of "must have" characters for my collection. Skullcruncher has always been one of them. I'm still waiting for a good Leader/MP scale version of him (hell, I'd even settle for Voyager - still a little short, but at least in the general vicinity of what I'm looking for.) BUT... given the prices of Deluxes, this will be an awesome, cheap stand-in until one exists!  

I'd get Swamper or Crox but Crox's chest throws me, and Swamper is too short too, so if I'm going to get one out of the scale I want, a cheap Deluxe is more appealing to me than either of those until MakeToys or someone else makes an MP scale version of the character.  

I'd be lying if I said these figures weren't making me nostalgia out HARD lol. Unlike a lot of kids in the 80s, I actually loved headmasters, powermasters, AND pretenders lol. So the nostalgia is so so strong right now. *Breathes it in* Ahhhh. Gooood.
