You can read all about it here, Mozzytm:

Class - Transformers Battle Tactics Wiki

It's unofficial (frankly can't recall if DeNA ever officially answered your question actually) but is pretty accurate.

This is also the same site that occasionally gets previews of the Event Reward Characters (e.g., they posted Soundwave's stats before the event ended and were correct).

Today's event is SOS Dinobots. G2 Dinobots are up for grabs and this is a Stronghold event this time!

I'm assuming baconbeast's guide for EH still applies, but I'd appreciate confirmation from anyone else who is either there already or about to reach EH.

Too bad it's only a recolor. But on the bright side, plenty of gold!

I've only made it to EH map 2 battle two, everything is the same so far except the use of different bots. Lost FoC UM since the "exit and restart glitch" didn't work for me.

Computron has replaced Defensor. Devastator replaced Bruticus.

    Dinobots SOS Extra Hard Guide

Thanks to Dr. Killinger for reposting my earlier guide. Here is the updated one based on my 1st run through Extra Hard. Decided to do this in case anyone missed the previous guide or had trouble finding it (since its been a while since the last Stronghold).

If this Stronghold looks familiar, its because it is! Basically a copy-paste job of the previous ones but with better / more recent bots. Any updated tactics are highlighted in maroon text:

    MAP #1
Rewards = 5,750 Event Points + 20K cyber coins + random SR bot
    Recommended Abilities = Target 1, Jammer 1, Drawfire 2 (Battle 2-3), Jammer 2 (Battle #3 only)
    • Battle #1 = 2 G2 Slugs + Exclusive / Rare Starscream + Skids
Nothing special here... just use Target 1 to take them out one at a time or MS away.
    • Battle #2 = G2 Snarl + Alligator Megatron + SR Scourge + Epic / Daily Campaign Tarantulas
The first of 2 "Decoy Boosted" Teams where they use Decoy in the 2nd or 3rd round causing 25 damage and can kill one of your bots. Use Target 1 and either bring FS bots (FOC Magnus is highly recommended :thumb ) or bring your "Expendables" (bots you can afford to lose). Killing SR Scourge on or before Round 2 seems to prevent decoy from being used. Use Drawfire 2 on your highest HP bot in later rounds to keep everyone alive.
    • Battle #3 = Computron + G2 Grimlock + Hot Spot
Use Target 1 and Jammer 2 until both support bots are dead as they will use Drawfire 2 on Computron (or whoever has the highest HP). Use Drawfire 2 on your highest HP bot in later rounds to keep everyone alive. Watch out for Computron's 90 FS!

    MAP #2
    Rewards = 8,500 Event Points + 50 gold + 1 G2 Snarl core
Recommended Abilities = Target 1, Drawfire 2 (Battle 2-3 only), Jammer 1 (Battle #3 only)
    • Battle #1 = G2 Snarl + G2 Slug + Treadshot + Slog
Again nothing special here... just Target 1 them one at a time.
    • Battle #2 = Alli Megs + G2 Grimlock + E/DC Tarantulas + G2 Megatron
MS happy team. Use Target 1 and bring any bots with team evade. Recommend killing Alli Megs first to avoid the "damage over time" from his Napalm which adds up. Drawfire 2 can help as Grimlock & Tarantulas aren't really MS bots and tend to ghost target your low HP bots.
    • Battle #3 = G2 Grimlock + Hot Spot + G2 Snarl + Rook
Goes for high raw attack power and uses Target 1. Counter with Target 1 and Jammer 1. Use Drawfire 2 on your highest HP bot in later rounds to keep everyone alive.

    MAP #3
    Rewards = 68K Event Points + random SR bot + 20k cyber coins + 30 power tokens + 30 exclusive cores + 5 FOC Strafe cores + 50 gold
Recommended Abilities = Target 1 or 2, Jammer 1 or 2, Drawfire 2 (depending on the battle)
    • Battle #1 = Slipstream + SR Scourge + E/DC Tarantulas + Rewind
They can or will eventually use Target 1 and Jammer 1 so come prepared with Target 2 and Jammer 1.
    • Battle #2 = G2 Snarl + Alli Megs + G2 Grimlock + E/DC Tarantulas
The second "Decoy Boosted" Team. Same strategy as Map #1, Battle #2 applies. There doesn't seem to be a specific bot to target here to prevent the decoy from being activated.
    • Battle #3 = Computron + Pair of G2 Snarls
Use Target 1 and Jammer 2 until both support bots are dead as they will use Drawfire 2 on Computron (or whoever has the highest HP). Use Drawfire 2 on your highest HP bot in later rounds to keep everyone alive. Watch out for Computron's 90 FS!
    • Battle #4 = Devastator + G2 Grimlock + G2 Snarl
Supposedly an MS Team but not really. Use Target 1 and Drawfire 2 to kill the support bots first before the Hulk.  Bring team evade bots if you're afraid of their MS attacks.
    • Battle #5 = Devastator + Pair of G2 Snarls
Uses Jammer 1 and sometimes Target 1 on the 2nd round. So ignore FS and use Target 2 and Jammer 1 until both G2 Snarls are dead.
    • Battle #6 = Computron + G2 Grimlock + G2 Snarl
Uses Target 1 so use Target 1 and Jammer 1 until both support bots are dead. This is the last battle so doesn't matter if only 1 of your bots are left. Go for broke! :D

    Like previous Strongholds...
    • (Thanks to Acid Wing for the first confirmation) If a bot you can't afford to lose dies, then exit the app and restart. You'll lose the energon and any core drops but you keep your fallen bot, no repair downtime and you can redo the battle ;)
    • You can still farm Easy for 1 energon (9 battles total but you receive 2x 5 energon as rewards) + cybercoins (just Quadra Slam your opponent; recommend using the Triple Threats line up of Blitzwing, Springer, Whirl & Astrotrain for extra coins). You can do 4 - 5 Easy runs per hour :)
    • You can also farm Extra Hard for gold! :ev:  If you buy 25 energon (costs 125 gold if you buy the 5-energon bundle 5x) and finish Extra Hard (which rewards 100 gold per run) twice (200 gold total), then that's a 75 gold profit (200 reward - 125 energon cost). Thanks for keeping this "feature" in Stronghold DeNA! :p

Whew! There you all go... happy for anyone to add / correct this as needed! Very happy I finally get to build Rewind :rock

    Thanks again baconbeast!

Yup, the trick still works, where "if you lose a bot you can't afford to lose, then exit the app and restart."

He is pretty much the same as his G1 counterpart: a heavy hitting attack bot. Short circuit in robot mode and MS attack as a Dino.

    Kinda hoped he'd have FS...

Thanks bb; wanted to see if top 750 was worth it. He seems alright, but without fs, he's not really worth the gold to get two.

    Thanks Bacon for your guide
    - the force exit ans restart to recover downed bots still work for me. Fortunately have only had to do it once
    - Bob if you can beat xtrahard then you gain more gold then you spend on energon by competing xhard. If you can't yeah not worth the gold
    - bigwilly, yeah would suck if they changed his stat like batman prime

So I'm fairly new to the game and am still trying to figure things out. I'm a f2p and want to know what is the best way to get better bots? I know there are veterans out there that are free players that have a lot of good bots.

I have been able to get carzap and it will be a close one but hopefully I can get a 2nd one by the end of the event. I wasn't around for the other daily campaigns

I have found a decent league that has been somewhat of a revolving door of people but managed to be in the top 750 the last 2 events so I have 2 of the tier 4 reward bots.

I have heard all of the horror stories of the space bridge so I'm staying away from there lol.

From what I have read everywhere core drop rates are horrible, and my lacking inventory can confirm that.

With my current team I can do the first 2 maps on extra hard stronghold and then I have to reset. That was going good until I hit the 24 hr cool down waiting period. I got a decent stash of gold and a bunch of the low end tier 4 bots but they are so weak.

I know it will take some time but if I'm missing anything or you have any other tips or advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Got my 50th core for snarl last night, to put it bluntly, I feel like I wasted my time. He doesn't have fs and his attack stats are a little low for an epic. However, Snarl is my favorite dinobot, this was probably the only reason why I spent the 15 hours required to grind out 50 cores.
