The stronghold events have sections similar to the daily challenge. It's split into parts, easy, medium, hard, extra hard, with each part having more battles and maps than the last section. Rewards are set between the battles, gold, bots, energon, cores, etc, but you only get them when you complete each map page. When the game is running properly the stronghold event is all bot battles, and events like the one we just finished are against other players. Everything now is against bots because the devs are fixing the game.

 

I have fought 1 tigerhawk fuzor... used 10 energon.. not a single core

 

I haven't had many of any core drops at all this event. Hopefully the next ones are better.

Class cores. As in scout cores, hunter cores, those kind of cores.

 

it's getting frustrating now......
if I fight against a team with just one tigerhawk,im ok.
the minute there's two,i get smashed without even taking out one.
when I do defeat one,i just get event cores.....
out of the 20+ cubes I used yesterday(inbetween waiting for repair times thanks to tigerhawk teams), I gained x1 chromedome core,which I already have x22 of.....
my team is vortex and x3 springers,all maxed out.....
also,i finally got enough of the yellow cores to get my botcon tarantulus,now I have to wait 3 days lolz....

 

I'm having the same trouble. I am seeing 2 tiger hawk teams too often and that high hp seems impossible for my team of 4 Chevys to beat both of them. I have been doing 3 and a few 5 energon battles and have only 1 of his cores drop so far.

My son had him drop 3 cores from a 3 energon battle thou.

 

I did finally get a character core the other day- a Vortex.
I am finally getting some exclusive cores with this exclusive core event- maybe I can eventually get a Jetfire II or Whirl.
Trying 2 and 3 energon battles and that does seem to help.
Still mostly fighting bots not other players.
Often put in battles I can't hope to win with my team of rares and one super rare (Vortex). (Is it better to forfeit those?)

 

I would recommend you save them to focus on getting the T4 bots such as the Jetfire 2 and hold out on whirl if you are short on exclusive cores.
These events should all be bots. They are taking a break from the pvp battles while they try to fix the game

I never forfeit a battle for the events. Just focus on targeting a bot that drops cores if you are lucky enough to get one in your battle. You will still get some points.

 

Man...I just wish it didn't keep teaming me up against massively overpowered opponents that take out my team in 2-3 rounds. I've got bots with 60-something average HP and I keep getting teamed against bots with twice that HP. They can wipe out one of my bots with two shots and usually have much higher first strike stats than mine do. So again, doesn't take long at all to wipe my entire team out and I just lost 3 hard-to-get energon without even managing to kill one of them- not for the first time today, either. Argh.

And then suddenly I get some easy teams and a few exclusive cores. Well, not a total less then.

What do power tokens actually do? I've got a bunch and no idea what they're used for.

 

Used to upgrade bots those last few levels

 

Also TIL that first strike bonus is cumulative, 2 bots eith a small FS beats one with a larger

 

Yup, and it also works the other way around. 2 FS rolls can be beaten by 1 FS roll that is higher than the value of the 2 combined.

Basically, the game determines who goes first by adding up all the FS points on each side.

 

Ahh, Ok. And once they reach their max level they can't be leveled up anymore?

 

Exactly.

This event is power tokens, the tokens that finish up the leveling process.
