Who said they were diecast? They're screwed together, I was thinking silver or silver-painted plastic.

They have the texture of painted die-cast, and you can even see the typical paint chipping of diecast.

Plus I believe some of the early reviewers said those bits are diecast.

Lol unless that repainted Silverbolt is MP scale then this is nowhere near comparable. Now Maketoys Scattershot? He's around the same size as the official I believe. Try starting there ;)

I'm not so hot on the rest of this set, but I may get just Scattershot; he really works for me as the G1 character, and my MP Autobots need help.

...haven't seen that before. Are you a seeker fanatic??

That being said, I like this scattershot as a CHUG update

Is Scattershot supposed to be missing the combiner wrists?

Thinking of getting this guy as a standalone figure, how does he scale with other masterpieces in alt and bot mode? Having trouble finding pictures of this. Also how is he as a figure? Have not heard much praise about him. Thanks!

Check out the YouTube reviews from Bobby Skullface and emgo316. Lots of comparisons to see. Both guys recommend him as a standalone figure, though it is not perfect.

Personally, I really enjoy him. My copy didn't have quite as many tolerance issues as Skullface's, but it did have some. Overall, it is a really good figure, and you can add my name to the "yes, recommend" list. But check out the reviews carefully and see if all the particulars, good and bad, suit your tastes.

I'm a big fan of their Scattershot, easily my favorite figure of this set. He scales well with MP, standing about half a head shorter than MP10. His alt mode is huge too, I'd say about the size of MMC Hexatron if you have him for reference. If you dig Warbotron figures or are just looking for a solid Scattershot, this more than worked for me.
