Expanding upon what I said earlier, the reason the Amazing Spider-Man films got axed after the second one was because Marvel and Sony agreed to bring Spidey to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That, and the third Amazing Spider-Man movie would have involved Peter Parker bringing his parents back from the dead. Sounds more like a mercy killing if you ask me. There's really not much the "Transformers Cinematic Universe" can do as far as continuing on from Age of Extinction, except probably introduce the Quintessons as the "Creators".

I am a little happy that we're getting an animated prequel, but that movie alone would have to fill in the numerous plot holes this film series has made in order for me to appreciate the Bay films.

Not filling me with any faith.

To reiterate, not giving me any faith that TF5 will be any good.

I didn't know ASM3 wa going to involve Peter reviving his parents. That probably would have wound up even WORSE than Raimi's Spider-Man 3...

yeah him, James Roberts, Nick Roche, hell even Marirghread Ann Scott would all be valuable assets to the movies. They'd get the robots far better than any Hollywood screenwriter.

Everytime I hear about the ASM3 plotline. All I can think of is Full Metal Alchemist.....like seriously the fact they wanted to do that is messed up.

Not everyone I for one am very excited for the expanded universe as well as transformers 5. Other people are excited as well considering the fact that the movies are still absurdly well.

As for Goldsman everyone makes mistakes and Batman and Robin was going to turn out the way it did no matter what because the studio wanted it that way. There was nothing Goldsman could do also this story was pieced together by numerous great writers so I have a good feeling to say the least.

Nearly everyone brings up the reboot idea but I have to wonder what if they get their reboot and it's worse. They all assume a reboot or change of director is a guaranteed solution what if it isnt.

You're right, my apologies. There are some very positive and upbeat posts in the mix, it just seems it's more hate (usually from the same people that I find making hate posts in any thread I click on) than positive.

I'm hyped for it as well. I'm going to keep up with the info about the Expanded Universe as I am very interested in it all.
