I can never get enough of this scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5O7ErFolR8 I'll never stop imaging him as someone who rocks alongside Peter Townshend, Jimmy Page, Brian May and the other old rockers now. I've now recently listened to the Three 80 Doctors with 60s companions trilogy now alongside The Five Companions and have enjoyed them. I will be listening to We Are The Daleks, The Warehouse, The Romance of Crime and The English Way of Death soon. Will also get Damaged Goods & The Well-Mannered War in early October if I'm able to. As for the Classic Doctors Vs New Series Monsters news: Doctor Who: Sylvester & the Sycorax! - News - Big Finish
I get more of a Dylan vibe from him, personally. He was actually in a punk band with Craig Ferguson back when he was in college.
I'll admit, I'm growing increasingly intrigued by the opening story. Yet, I still have absolutely no faith in it turning out to be good.
Definitely. I would count The Invasion as one of my favourite Cybermen stories. Vaughn is a magnificent villain and Packer a great henchmen. I kept the DVD box away from my girlfriend so she didn't know it was a Cybermen story -- I did reveal it was an eightparter -- and her first guesses were some random machine or Daleks, before she realised during episode 4 that it was the Cybermen. And throughton is a magnificent Doctor. One of my five favourites. Him and Jamie and Zoe are one of the best Tardis teams in the series. Such a shame that a lot is lost. I've got several of his stories on DVD: of the classics Baker, McCoy and Throughton are the ones I have the most Dvd's of (in that order, I think).

Someone is leaving the show. Too bad it's not Moffat yet. 'Doctor Who' assistant Jenna Coleman is leaving the show
I like the actress. I think she's very pretty. She seems like a cool person. But oh my God I just want to punch Clara Oswald in the face. What's her defining character trait? She can lie convincingly. So she lies a lot. There you go, into the character bible you go, job done!
Does anyone know where to find Dr Who stuff at good prices I have been around Doctor Who since the 4th doctor but my nephew has just got into him. He likes Smith anyone know where I can get the screwdriver at a good price?
I'll believe it when I get an official confirmation; the same thing was reported last year but she changed her mind and stayed after all. And Moffat can stay as long as he likes.
And the sad thing is that the previous season ender combined with the Christmast story, was such a great way to end her run on the show. If they had stuck with that then I think she would've been the first companion who we would see near the end of their life and learn that leaving the Doctor (on rather bad terms in her case), would've resulted in the companion leading an unfulfilling life, continually searching for thrills to match travelling with the Doctor. I have my doubts about the upcoming departure being as interesting.
Yeah, that would have been a great exit (and almost certainly was going to be the exit, before Coleman changed her mind about leaving). I'm not sure how they're going to write her out now. One of the problems with making the companions so incredibly important to the Doctor is that it gets really hard to just have them leave. We've had five major companions leave now and only one did it voluntarily. The others had to get stuck in a parallel universe, get mindwiped, or get stuck in an inaccessible timezone that was apparently so messed up that the Doctor couldn't just pop back in, say, five years to retrieve them (Rory and Amy's departure was very moving, but I don't buy the idea that the Doctor somehow is unable to visit New York City during the entire second half of the 20th Century).
Her, I like looking at and want to bang However cannot stand her on the show since she became a regular. Him, do not like looking at, do not want to bang and do want gone as the "showrunner".
Ah, thanks. Well, I'll admit that I've grown to like the character a bit more recently but I still won't be sad to see her go. Unless, of course, series 9 is really good but that's doubtful. It's a pity Jenna Coleman couldn't have gotten a better character. As for how she'll leave, after series 8, I'm half expecting every episode of the next series to end with Clara leaving, only to come back at the beginning of the next. Then in the finale, the Doctor just says "this is getting ridiculous" and simply leaves her behind somewhere.
Hot Topic has the screwdrivers for the tenth, eleventh and twelfth Doctors. I kinda liked Clara but this makes me wonder if they are going to introduce the next companion this season.
