Nothing yet. Spending hours on this site everyday has made me enough of an informed buyer to make the right choices for my collection.
    Thanks TFW2005!

Apollyon for me. He looks gorgeous on a shelf and is a great representation of Megatron, but he just feels flimsy and cheap in hand. I don't even mind the transformation, but when I rotate a hand and the forearm splits in half, that's an issue for me. I'm still waiting on TFSource to send me a replacement torso that I'm paying $20 out of pocket for, so overall it's been a less than stellar experience. I'm definitely interested to see Maketoys take on the character and I'll most likely sell this guy off.

The only other 3rd party regrets for me have been Maketoys Giant and FansProject Intimidator. Both are actually awesome figures, but neither fit with the scale that I'm collecting towards now. I've sold both off over the last few months, but part of me wishes I still had them on a separate shelf.

Aside from that, I've been quite satisfied with my 3rd party purchases. I'd like to think that I give fair consideration before pulling the trigger on any plastic.

Mine has two loose joints, three over-tight joints, and two pegs that don't fit. I stopped manipulating it before mine breaks like others' have. I treated it with exceptional care and it survived long enough to get it into a pose that I like, so I'm going to leave it alone. I am not going to press my luck since mine is a first run unit and therefore in the high risk category.

The question for this thread is what 3rd party figure you regret buying. PE Leonidas is the one figure I regret buying because I can't in good conscience play with it the way I can my other figures due to the issues, both the present issues with mine and the elevated risk of actual breakage due to production mold issues if I were to manipulate the problematic joints and pegs.

your opinion is your prerogative, of course, but you do realize that you've been basically "scared off" of handling this figure due to bad word of mouth of a vocal minority, right?

not that it isn't a valid reason, but it just seems to me that Leonidas is *too new* to convincingly be on this thread, but to each his own..

Given the reported QC issues, I wonder if Leonidas was too ambitious for a company who'd mostly done add-ons and traditional vehicle Transformers? Like they wanted to make him a high end collectible and didn't address the flaws.

bear in mind that for every reported QC issue, there's another report of a no-issue figure... The first batch may have had a few lemons, but it's nowhere near what some buyers would have you believe.. plus, many breakage issues were found to be caused by mishandling..

The problem is "mishandling" this figure equates to playing with it the way people normally handle any other 3P figure. And there are more QC issues with this figure than normal, that's why even Peaugh did not want to get one to do a video review of it. No matter how much you want to try to spin it, the occurrence of issues with Leonidas is above average.

I've been going through many of the pages of this thread. I understand where a lot of the regret is coming from even if I don't completely share it.

TFC Hercules was an event. I have trouble regretting him because of how I acquired him. I'm still a bit disappointed they rushed out the last few figures like they did as it took a bit of the slow release magic away. Now? Yeah, I would not buy it in this market. But at the time, like I said, it was an event. Slowly building a large Devastator was cool. I remember that and do not regret it.

I totally get the FansProject Stunticon regret and am not surprised to see people happily selling him off. I'm in a continuous love/hate relationship with the combiner myself. I still think it looks awesome, but I hate every moment spent transforming and handling it. Nothing about it is fluid or fun apart from aesthetics.

The 3p figure I truly regretted was MMC Knight Morpher Commander. It was the only 3p figure I bought so far that broke right out of package without reason. The right arm broke off of the post because of the poorly engineered shoulder lock tabs which do more harm than good. Never cared for the plastic quality either.

Igear Cogz(Gears) also deserves a mention. I didn't regret it completely at the time because I needed a Gears on the CHUG shelf. However I did make a point of telling my brother immediately after opening mine to cancel his order. That third run of Igear mini-warriors was really well below par and its not surprising the line died after that. Sold Cogz recently and certainly do not regret that at all. Thank you, Hasbro Generations Gears!

The insecticons are exceptional in terms of quality, though I still begrudge not-shrapnel for not having a transformation that won't end up scraping the feet. I am absolutely convinced, however, that their add-on sets have built in self-destruct systems that's triggered by even the slightest breeze... and no, they are not KOs, they were all bought on initial release.

As bad as Sonicron was, I do have to say I liked the Rumble/Frenzy they cooked up. Bought the Yin/Yang repaints to get free shipping from TFSource, and no regrets.

For me, KFC's Pestilence has to be one of the worst. It's a pain to transform, the guns don't stay on, and I still haven't gotten one to deploy. Was...quite displeased with what I got, which is a shame because I liked the AceToys Not-Ramhorn they did.

There were only two people that reported breaking the torso of their figure in the Leonidas thread on this web site.

Just to clarify, it wasn't just the breakage reports that pushed me off of Leonidas. They didn't help, but that wasn't the sole reason. I was really pumped when they first announced it, because I really like Don's cybertronian designs for him and Big Convoy, but what was finally released doesn't really match that very well. The robot mode looks really good, but the lion mode just doesn't do anything for me, and while I display most figures in robot mode anyway, I do like pulling them out from time to time and messing with them.

And on top of all that, I've been trying to be more conservative with my toy budget. Youtube reworked how they calculate earnings, so I don't have as much money to play around with, so I'm focusing more on the figures I *really* want in my collection versus just nabbing anything that catches my eye. I do get review samples of some figures, but I do actually buy the bulk of what goes up on my channel.

Add all those factors up, and Leonidas just wasn't one I felt like spending part of that budget on right now. It's a shame, I think the robot mode looks quite nice. It may be something I nab down the line, but right now there's just too many other things coming out that are higher on my list.

Thanks for the added detail, Peaugh! I know youtube comments (where you initially stated the QC issues as the reason) don't really leave room for that level of feedback so it's great to hear you provide more context here. :)

For me, i have far more Hasbro and Takara regrets than 3rd party (I am looking at YOU MP Megatron), still I regret buying the Fansproject insecticons as they were never G1 enough for me, and will soon be replaced by fans toys versions hopefully. The other ones would be maketoys paladin which was very disappointing, and igears mp starscream clone, that came with no tail fin and igear refused to provide me with one.

Anything Warbotron. I regret having pre-ordered some of the Not-Combaticons before learning about the supply debacle. I didn't really enjoy the figures when they finally arrived either.
