Let's not even get started on Omega Supreme.  

But in all seriousness I'm really stoked for this figure. I feel they captured everything about him within perfectly acceptable limits. Things like the sled, accessories and toy face just show how much love went into this guy regardless of a couple minor inaccuracies.

 

I'm kinda lookin' forward to displaying him in van mode. It's just so dorky compared to the cool cars we have, plus with it's size it'll really stand out and look unique on the shelf.

I'm just glad we're getting this guy. I kinda thought he was less likely than guys like Megatron and Jazz. Glad I was wrong

This has probably already been pointed out, but to me, it looks like a fundamental part of the transformation - the hinge that you use to swing up the front part of the van/windshield:

Well I still hope those stupid hip panels can fold back some how. And Dr.Wu will give us a better looking face. But for some dumb reason this guy is growing on me. I will buy it, because I still think imo this look more like Ironhide than the Voodoo one. The face I can live with. But Koyboshi or whatever his name is really fucked up with the hip kibble. For me his Mp design, I have always have something I question, or hate.

you're right, this is unacceptable. windshield wiper nipples were not part of the G1 animation model. Forget Bay, Kobayashi is destroying my childhood with these stupid realistic parts that have to realistically go somewhere. Hip skirts and front/rear wipers should all be removable, but then he screwed up because it would be a partsformer. You know Hasui would have found a way to make the wipers like... fold up ironhide's butt or something.

I honestly don't understand these gripes. as mentioned by others you can always see robot bits through the windows and at least I don't notice them for the most part because the cars look fabulous... but if you want to freak out on that I guess this is the toy. He's got twice the windows as any other carbot and looking inside you can see that he's filled to the top with torso and arm bits. no room for a Bee, appropriately sized or otherwise, you screwed up again Kobayashi!

if the toy face bothers you, just stick the scanner image of the worm in the front windshield. problem solved!

 

I don't even like Ironhide but I preordered (AmiAmi, $70 w shipping) because this looks like a very fun figure.

No, his face isn't perfect (new sculpt is better than original though) and his chest is a little off and his waist could be better and those waist kibbles could flip up, but all the accessories, the G1 face, and what looks like a fun transformation all add up to a good figure.

Both sides are being so ridiculous with this "Fail Kobayashi" crap. This same battle cry used as a tool to mock and sarcastically counter mock. The lame part is it's getting hard to separate who's pro and who's against. Ironically, with his limited English, if the real Kobayashi Googled himself and found his way to this thread, he might think the World hates his guts.

 

I'm still waiting for the warehouse-sized MP Astrotrain that can house a full-scale battle, not to mention having the Constructicons transform into Devastator inside him.

 

Totally agree. The pro-Kobayashi fans have been laying it on so thick it's almost getting as annoying as the haters at this point.

 

probably funny if they somehow released a hip kibble free version Ironhide & Ratchet in the future in the same manner as the MP Optimus & the seekers having a second version of the molds, cue the epic outrage & blood spilled everywhere  

also when Kawamori gets back to TF's again? well i heard he's busy with either Macross or some super robot show that you don't want to hear, the closest to him doing TF's is doing Square Enix's High Speed Transformation Gyrozetter which is under a Bandai brand of course.

 

I'm neither a Kobayashi fan nor a hater; all I know of Kobayashi is that Kirk took the test 3 times.

The hip flaps aren't problematic to me at all. I almost don't see them.
Not a fan of butt-tires, but sometimes stuff has to go somewhere. It's forgivable.
Don't see anything wrong the face.
Some angles show the hips bigger than I'd like. Again, might be because of engineering. Forgivable.

Easily the best representation of the character to date- and a great looking figure at that (at least in personal opinion)

I have been SOOOO ready for an MP Ironhide. What a huge disappointment.
Yeah, its better than generations but far from the MP goodness of the last few years. Gappy long weak looking torso, thin long head, short legs that look dumb in most poses apparently, and the hip panels.
I wouldn't keep it if it was given to me for free.

For me, now Ironhide is up to a 3rd party company.
People saying this is the best Ironhide ever apparently haven't seen Igear's version.
