According to the Falcon's Hangar, they just got the first release. It's not a world exclusive to them or anything.

    You're right, it IS not-Chromedome's head! I don't own that, didn't notice!

No QC issues on mine. Everything's the usual FP tightness and quality. Transformation wise, he's not surprising, but it gets the job done. His lack of kibble means he is better to pose in bot mode compared to his fellow animals. Bot mode has most standard movements excepr waist. Croc head has up/down, with opening jaw and a little spinning meatcrusher wheel inside. Tail goes side to side. Legs have some limited movement, but hey, so do real crocs.

    That's...that's awful.

I had no idea it was already a year and nothing came of this "membership."

Thanks so much for the quick overview! It'll tide me over until the usual suspects start rolling out reviews :D

No waist swivel? That's disappointing but far from a deal breaker for me. Croc mode sounds as articulated as the pictures implied.

What's the Van Dame factor? The pics make it look like he may have the most flexible hips yet of any F-x.

And most importantly the shoulders? At this point i'd be disappointed if they had full motion, wouldn't fit in at all!

not gonna lie, the fact thats its just using the code head seems really lazy to me.

The figure still looks fantastic, but I'm just gonna stick with the skullcruncher version I think

Lazy? I think it's great. This is the first time they used a different head on a repaint. Based on the original sketches, most people were fully expecting a repainted Crox head.

I wouldn't EXPECT them to create an entirely new head for it, but it seems like such a missed opportunity, considering it was Optimus they were going for. But you have to admit "Ah, this head has a faceplate and some ear/antennae things, so it's close enough to Optimus" does seem lazy.

while i was hoping for a new head to be done up, it does quite get the job done still.

as for the figure's mold, i am in the view that it was made for Alligatorcon given how there's the "prime windowed chest" and the "smokestacks along his arms.

it really looks like skullcruncher was an afterthought to the toy :|

They knew going in they were going to make this into alligatorcon so i think it was more "let's plan ahead and add these now" than "ohh I know we can do skullcruncher too". This is on top of the fact they were already making the rest of the headmasters and Gator was never a headmaster in the first place in the cartoon .

just feels weird that it feels more like alligatorcon rather than skullcruncher, its like skullcruncher had to compromise just for alligatorcon in both modes
