Regarding core drops. I was extremely lucky on the bridge and got 40 rippersnapper and 20 sinnertwin cores. I have grinded for epic once. So with aa 20 head start I felt I had to try. So after spending ton energon and playing boy bsttles and event at 3 cube, I got 30 sinnertwin core just now but 0 rippersnapper

Ouch! Those odds sound terrible :(

I've accrued 10 Sinnertwin cores so far. I'm guessing my odds/ accrued cores are similar to past events, i.e. Blaster - 20, Hubcap - 4; Strafe -13, Nosecone - 7.

I was fortunate with Rippersnapper. 5 cores from an Event Drop, 4 accrued from Bot fights and a further 5 as compensation for a battle freezing on me.

well its not like I'm not trying my score is at almost 200k and 1 core to show for it... that's ridiculous.. I think I'm gonna send in a ticket..... I got nothing on 4 event passes... and now 1 sinnertwin... killing me I was hoping for at least rippersnapper

I have almost 300k now and got no Rippersnapper drops. My league mates have experienced the same "luck" so far. Again, I went a bit bridge-happy and got crap. When I got 5 cores from free pulls, I thought I could make the other five during event. But just nope.

And I even fight bot battles when I see a RS in vain hopes to get cores instead of event points. No luck.

Well I filed a ticket, and for sending an email I got 5 sinnertwin cores... makes sense since I need 50 (sigh) and 15 energon.

Jeez, seems like you guys are having terrible luck compared to me. I might have only 1 ST core, but my second free event drop I got 10 RS cores; unfortunately I had to wait to today to recruit him as my gold reserves were drained and I had hubcap in the works recruiting.

Is the event drop space bridge worth it? I'm almost willing to give it a go a few times just to see if I can get some extra cores. I'm figuring the odds are still craptastic, but I'm ok with stomaching a few 75 gold pulls.

Hi everyone, I just started recently. Is the game really unfair? I always get matched with bots stronger than me. Also, did you guys spend real money on this game?

I dropped almost $200 on gold for the space bridge event drops during the Beast Wars event with Alligator Megatron. I didn't get a single Alligator Megatron core.

    Screw the Space Bridge.

Hi Gilford. Welcome to TFBT. Really depends on your definition of "unfair" as your mileage can vary. The majority who complain the game is unfair usually have unrealistic expectations (e.g., I should be winning almost all of my battles because I'm the #1 TF Fan and put $100 into it!)

Yes, it will take some time (at least 1 month... maybe more) before you can go toe-to-toe with the TFBT's finest. The usual recommendation for starting players is to just concentrate on going up in rank and not worry too much about the events. Once you have a solid team of Super Rares (those bots with 4 chevrons or stripes), then you can start seriously competing in the events.

Yes, this game takes a lot of commitment and your time to succeed if you want to be free-to-play. Its because you get 1 free energon every 30 minutes but you only get to keep / bank a maximum of 5. There are a few wallet warriors or those who spend $$$ but the majority are free-to-play or casual pay-to-win folks (like me!) who learned to manage their time and play the game every 1.5 or so hours.

Yes, its a bit frustrating to find a good league given the game chat is quite limited but you'll eventually find a good home. Try to aim for a Top 750 league and then work your way to Top 200.

And finally, 2 pieces of advice...

#1) Stay away from the Space Bridge no matter how tempting it seems. The odds are against you to get the prizes advertised and you'll waste any free gold you earned that can be better spent on energon. The easiest way to get an Epic (5 chevron or stripes) bot is through the Daily Campaign.

#2) Read up about the game if you can. This forum and the official DeNA forums are worth checking out every once in a while for tips or advice from other players or even meet your future league mates.

All the best! I'm sure others can add to or correct my advice as needed.

Its just how the RNG goes I guess. Only 3 Sinnertwin and 2 Rippersnapper cores for me with the event already half done. I didn't get any cores from the previous event's drop tokens and I'm thinking the fact I'm only doing 3-cube battles (risky to do 15-cube battles with Overrun as I might lose) has something to do with my lousy odds.

The temptation is always there due to the visual presentation and "hey, what if now I get..." factor. But the reality is cruel - I spent more than 3500 (or even 4k?) nuggets during the first Cybertron episode and got TWO WfC OP cores.

I believe the bridge should be more generous, but the bridge RNG is broken, and DeNA knows it.

Funny you should ask because I'm from the Philippines :D

There is quite a large Filipino player base in TFBT - mostly free-to-play folks, of course. One of the top leagues is actually called "Transformers Philippines" (although they are admittedly not 100% Filipino). You will occassionally see Tagalog spoken in the global game chat.

Wow, what a coincidence. Well I guess I still have a long way to go before I can join a good group.

Wow. I agree with baconbeast 100%. That's a lot of good advice yet very succinct. You know some top 200 leagues/ clans are willing to carry a few newbies for a few event just to help you get started with a few epics. It just depends how much space is availiable at that time. I am in DS and we do try to help. Pm and I can see if I can connect you with somebody.

Hey Baconbeast, I've been doing 3 cube battles and even doing quite a few 5 cube battles... I've only gotten 2 sinnertwin and 1 rippersnapper core. I think they are just being chincy... since I got the cores on 3 cube battles...
