My guess would be the Amazon ones are Wave 4, since its price dropped to $24.99 at the same time as Battle Core came back in stock.

And if they aren't? Amazon returns are easy-peasy.

I've had issues with getting mm and I don't wait to waist anymore time or money if it isn't fixed.

But I am starting to think about just going for it and finding out myself.

I'm not seeing the problem here. Menasor has always had lateral hip movement. It's just a matter of adjusting the position of his legs.

Combiner Wars combiners have no ankle tilt (except Devy, but we're not talking about him here), meaning that the legs have to be pointed vertically down to make the combiner stand with both feet on the floor. The old Prime and v1 MM had issues with this because theratchet teeth were placed mistakenly and the distance between the clicks of the ratchets were too far apart, forcing him to stand either in an A-stance (it's not as stable as it seems) or an awkward bowlegged position. The Battle Core Prime and v2 MM fix this issue by rotating the ratchet teeth half a click compared to the v1, allowing the truck mold to both make use of its diagonally cut feet in robot mode (where the A-stance is actally needed) and stand with his legs straight down in combiner mode (increasing stability and allowing a better pose).

The distance between clicks is still the same, tho, so get Nonnef's gears if you're not satisfied.

It's not so much of a problem with Menasor as much as it's problem with Motormaster/Optimus looking natural when they stand. Their feet are even cut to be at a certain position to the ground but with the old ratchets they couldn't be at the right position.

Is it possible to collect all of these before and after date codes for the figures mentioned and put them in the first post? Apparently Brainstorm, Optimus, Silverbolt, and Motormaster all have fixes?

I bought a MM back in June and assembled limbs to him a couple weeks ago. He was a floppy mess. I just found 2 more MM's this week at a Target and opened one after learning of this thread. The new one I opned DOES have this fix. The hip ratchets forming Menasor are much more tight and almost kinda scare me to click. It almost holds his legs out too well but there is a 100% difference.

I've been away from home all week. I left Optimus Maximus standing on the floor with Rodimus attached. Still there today :)

    I'm
A great fix for Motormaster (doesn't work with Optimus) is to:

Take the CW Axe accessory place it in Motormaster's hands in the bottom

convert to torso, but when locking in the shoulders take the hook part of the axe and jam it into the wind vain, adjusting the grip height between the hands and the wind vain.

The "sharp" end of the axe should be nudged between the wind vain and the shoulders.

Repeat for other arm (with First Aid/Ironhide axe) and Menasor should be as tight as Superion:) .

    I hope this helps:)

okay so I just got the mm from amazon. it has the hip fix, but the shoulders aren't really fixed. they stick a little better, but they are just holding in place. the chest minion doesn't stick any better anyway. so really, just get the new one if you want the hip fix.

Is it safe to assume that none of this news matters if you have the Perfect Effect Hip upgrade installed?

I believe so, or I just really lucked out. I finally got a Motormaster about 2 weeks ago. Straight out of the box, he stood as he was designed (according to the angled feet) as opposed to stiff and straight legged, like my CW Optimus. He looks and articulates wonderful! (Despite the really crappy pic!)

I don't have the patience to go through all these "hips fixed" threads....so I'll just ask.

If I pick up a CW Optimus "today" ....will these hips be fixed? Or does all this only pertain to MM and the White Prime?

It's currently in Grand Scourge (a redeco of CW Optimus Prime), the wave 4 version of Motormaster, Unite Warriors Motormaster, and Battle Core Optimus Prime. It is unknown if the upcoming Unite Warriors Optimus Prime combiner has those fixes.

But, no, a fixed hips version of the original Optimus Prime doesn't exist.

We went into this in http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...iner-wars-motormaster-has-fixed-hips-too.html

If your Motormaster has an embossed code on back of the box starting in a 5 then it's the fixed version.

I think we believe Scourge is fixed from the publicity photos but nobody with one in hand has confirmed it yet with photo evidence of the combined form.

I just noticed something off... I got a battlecore OP today from amazon.

One leg is "fixed" but the other has the original ratchet in it. :S

One has a ratchet and one doesn't? The fixed ones should have ratchets in both, just that they're re-oriented to not have the detents leaving the legs at wacky angles. My new one does at least.

Oh, and no such luck in getting fixed shoulders. :(  Oh well, maybe some Future will fix this.
