Episode 87 of the Repacked Podcast talked about the painted Boneyard prototype in their show. Of course co-host Albie Lim is actually helping design the figures, so he has some insider information. He talks about how they got Get Right Robot to paint it up and how they are revisiting the torso to add more articulation (read: abdomen crunch!). The other hosts talk about how much better it looks painted and liking the triceratops shield. The Kickstarter is starting soon.

Ep 087 – 4th August 2015: I like my Iron Man BIG | The Repacked Podcast

They start talking about Play With This Too about 2 hours 8 minutes into the show.

    --

So the latest word is that Play With This Too will be including a set of unpainted Boneyard and Jetstrike parts are rewards in the Kickstarter! How would you paint this guy up?

I'm not good at painting, but I could see wanting the Boneyard robot head in black with a red visor.

Another nice photo I found on Facebook. Includes Boneyard and all his accessories, Desolataur and the Saw Slasher Scythe weapon from Bloodbath.

Is Jetstrike the only with the ab crunch articlation right now? He appears to be the tallest. But Boneyard looks the one who has been working out the most. Poor Desolutaur looks kinda small in comparsion.

The prototypes for Desolataur and Boneyard were made before they added the ad crunch, but I don't think it makes him taller the others. They should all be able the same height, not accounting for wings, horns or whatever sticking up.

    --

On the Cybercast tonight Rik showed off a surprised on Boneyard, they just got in the prototype for a new chest piece for Boneyard, now it comes in 2 pieces that have an abdominal crunch!

No hawk that I've heard of.

They have said they are shooting for the Kickstarter to begin in September on a date where it will go for 30 days and end at TFcon USA, which runs October 16th – 18th.

Some new pictures of the Boneyard prototype, including showing it with the new, unpainted chest with ab crunch. We also get a comparison with some other figures from other lines.

After colors of Pretender Grimlock, Dinobot and Trypticon, what other homage recolors could you see with this toy using the recolors of the Hasbro toys... Let's see...

G1 Grimlock mold - Recolored as G2 teal Grimlock, G2 green Grimlock.
Beast Wars Dinobot mold - Recolored as Beast Wars Grimlock, Fox Kids Dinobot, maybe the remolds Beast Wars II Thrustor Beast Wars Neo Hardhead, Beast Machines Dinotron.
Classic Trypticon - Which was a repaint of Cybertron Predaking, Cryo Predaking maybe?
Classic Deluxe Grimlock - Repainted as Overkill.

This just posted from the PWTToo Facebook page:

I'll just remind you that Rik Alvarez has said in interviews that they were shooting for a 30 day long Kickstarter, and they wanted it to END during TFcon USA, which happens on October 16-18th, so if that's still the plan, I'd count back 30 days from that and you probably have a good guess for when this begins!

That sounds like a reasonable price, about what I budgeted for these guys. Plus they are coming with a lot more accessories then figures in the first Kickstarter.
