I took mine out of the packaging once and just did a quick inspection of jet mode (comes packaged that way), nothing seemed weak to me and nothing fell off. I didn't try to transform yet, if I can tonight I'll come back and post impressions.

EDIT: I would just say err on the side of caution and pick it up, if the quality is disappointing to you then return it. But if you're on the fence when you have a chance to buy, I wouldn't hesitate: buy first and ask questions later; you might not get a second chance. You can return online purchases to the store too, no problem.

not terrible, mine stays in just fine with no issues. The wings will only come down if you seriously shake the figure.

Those two negative reviews were put up suspiciously one after another. I wouldn't trust them.

They're fine. The mold is starting to show its age in places, but it's rock-solid in plane mode and as long as you know to peg the wings in for robot mode (which a lot of people don't seem to know, strangely) they stay up just fine. The plastic isn't cheap or translucent due to thinness, at least not moreso than any other version of the mold, it's just the silver color they used, which is extremely accurate to G1 Starscream. It's by far the best coloring on any MP Starscream version.

Wow, thanks for all the useful feedback guys. I do have acid storm (which I'm completely happy with) so I'm guessing I'll be more than satisfied with SS. I guess lot of the negative reviews were from people who aren't aware of the pegged points. Watching the review video really helped. Thanks guys!

No Starscreams at Fullerton TRU. Their shipments are Wednesday and Thursday.

Collier Target has 2 leader Tcrackers, 2 sets of wave 4 deluxes but no voyagers, 1 Groove and a smattering of RID stuff. Grape St. Wal Mart has the same Rattraps and Tankors for 12-16 months and 1 G1 Megs with 2 Armada Megs. Haven't jumped into MP's since I only came back into collecting 3 years ago and it seems really expensive lol. Will probably check TRU however next week come pay time.

Update for Torrance, yesterday by 4:30 they were all gone but today two had been returned opened by the same person as "damaged/missing parts" so hooray for that. Who the hell does that?!

Someone who just wanted one particular part, which is why said part is now "missing."

I can't speak for the Takara version of this mould, but for at least with Acid Storm, the main wings and tail rudders do fall off easily if you so much as look at them. So the review comments about the wings falling off could be accurate. I think emotions were running high with the cheap plastic comments though.

They replaced the captured wing hinges from MP-3 with the open hinges on MP-11 to avoid cracking at the hinges. Maybe at this point with the mould, the hinges have gotten loose, I dunno.

I've always wondered if they'd make a "Perfect Edition" of this mould with more robust wing hinges, torso locking points at the waist, obliques, and shoulders.

I have the Takara version. The tailfins are a problem with that one as well. Not prohibitive to the fun, but liable to jump off at a moments' notice.

There was no accusation whatsoever in his post. What are you talking about?

I'm not sure what part of my post read as accusatory. I was quoting it to give context to the situation.

Though if it was anyone who reads here I hope they see what a chump I think they are for buying two and returning them both damaged.

I didn't think you were calling him out. Honestly I'd admit I would buy a broken one and try to fix it.

Ok I got you, when you quoted my post that gave me an impression that I could be that person you're referring to, Thanks for clearing that up.

That's a bummer, but at least you managed to get it replaced :)  . I probably shouldn't jump to conclusions the way I did. It's easier for me to assume the worst in people than that it was a real QC issue, I suppose.

And TRU shouldn't put items marked as such back on the shelf (fodder for that "not cool" photos thread, with the not cool resting squarely upon the business who was properly informed of such by a consumer).
