They are the United molds. You probably haven't seen them because they never got a US release.

There are, however, new molds for Rumble and Frenzy coming down the CW line...

 

I made some comparisons for Frenzy and Rumble between the TAV and the United versions:

 

Welp, looks like I need to preorder Rumble and Frenzy, considering United Frumble has been hovering around $50.

Still annoying it never came out here. I don't really want two, so getting one for $10 would be far more appealing than $35 for two.

 

I advise you to wait a few months until the CW Frumble molds are revealed. Chances are they'll actually have deployer interactivity with a Soundwave.

 

Bumblebee Supreme....That's how you do it, Hasbro. This beats the Clash one by far, it has actual retooling and a new weapon!

Battle Gimlock...great for everyone who likes it bit it's not for me. It still has the mechanical details and presumably the problems of the FOC mold so the overall aesthetic doesn't work for me. Still great for all those who wanted an in scale Grimlock to go with the Warriors. As is I'm more than content with my Warrior.

Black Shadow!!!!!! Drop dead gorgeous, so much nicer than the Generations one from a few years back and more Victory accurate too! No way I'm passing this up.

Rumble and Frenzy look great, doesn't appear to have too any differences from the United. I'll wait to see what CW/TW offers us before going for these. Still very nice and thoughtful of Takara to rerelease this sought after pair.

Good to see that Stepper has a visor. Hope Battle Jazz will have it too.

 

I cut up my Hasbro Generations Black Shadow for parts long ago (got him for free in a deal anyway). I'll pick up a Takara Black Shadow to keep for realsies this time.

Battle Grimlock looks pretty damn good using the FOC Voyager Grimlock mold, admittedly. May have to pick him up.

Bumblebee Supreme looks aight but it's another goddamn Bee and I need another one of those like I need another hole in my head.  

Frumble is odd since these guys already saw a Japanese release many moons ago (my wife picked up the molds for me directly at Japanese retail, as I recall).

 

I like that...if it wasn't for the fact i'm trying to cut back on certain robots outside of the necessary ones i'd be all over this line.

we need more lines like this.

Frumble: Yep.. prefer these muted colors on them.

 

If Combiner Wars Buzzsaw is any indication, I'd get this version of Frenzy and Rumble. That Buzzsaw really looks bad. It should be noted that even if the next version of these two is great, this version is also great. It's a joke that Hasbro has never released them for fans in their markets. There have been plenty of opportunities.

 

You know, I kinda prefer the slightly darker deco they've given Ru... Frenzy.

I guess Takara just loves all TF fans so much that they're giving Western fans a second chance at getting them without paying jacked up prices. And I love them for it.

 

Yeah, this is the exact reason that I have no faith in the upcoming CW Frumble, based off that CW Buzzsaw. On top of that I missed out on the first release, so I'm not missing this awesome slight redeco!

 

... meh. I've got a growing collection of "independent" Cassetticons and this mold looks really fun.

He'll join Alternators Jaguar Ravage, GDO Laserbeak, Generations Ratbat and the like.

Jesus Christ you people and your childish reactions with these stickers. Just peel them off, it's super easy. And yes, I'm quite aware they remolded the Insecticons to have grooves for the stickers, still don't see any reason for this drama.

 

But...But they actually look terrible the indented retooling. It's so distracting.

No I totally.understood you bro. I think I was just appreciative because I now have had some clarification before I bought him due to some on YouTube saying it was fixed then getting mad later. I have Hasbro sideswipe so hell have to do (in car mode lol. Mine has REALLY bad shoulders)

Wait til production versions are shown in hand. There could be production versions being shown but at same time, it may not be. But I'm with you.on stickers = pretty lame

I'm looking forward to seeing some clearer pictures of that Drift repaint too. Might have to look into that set as well at some stage. Frenzy and Rumble are tempting, but I don't think I really want them that much, enough at that bargain of a price

 

I hope Drift returns soon in MTMTE. I want that TAV Drift on my "Living Lost Light" display.
