Yeah, I'm sticking with Classics Ironhide. Nice and beefy, and I don't care that his van mode/transformation is weird. Although I need to buy him (sold my last one years ago) from a chap on here who had him for sale.

I am taking my newly-delivered (from Banjoted) Off Road today, can't wait to unwrap the bubblewrap and start transforming...

I very much would love to do this, but I can't see me being able to score all 3 boxed at good prices between now and then, I still haven't been able to find a good box for Apeface, I'd even buy a MIB one and sell the extra Apeface but it seems to be the hardest of the Decep HMs to find packaged at a sensible price.

Seriously Pete, if you make a day of it when you have some time off and come down to London early, you could come to PubeCon like Sid has done before. Yeah she clearly did not feel threatened by old men as she was staying with some 50+ naked guy.

Superbly impressive collection of figures, nonetheless! Great work!

Well I was wrong, it was not Cupola that had incurred the wrath of customs. It was MakeToys Axle. Which I had not ordered. And was not expecting. So £23 for Axle I shall not complain about. Result.

But, I still don't get why I have been charged, the value on the package is 400 HKD, that is the same as £33.80. Is that enough to incur a £23 charge?!

    All the best

If it was sent EMS then £13 of that is just the handling fees and only £10 would be the customs charge.

Yes it was indeed sent EMS.

So a £10 charge of customs is to be expected on an item marked as £33 approx. value?

Any chance they thought it had been marked at £400 instead of 400 HKD?

    All the best

I think import charges are around 20% or so, so £10 isn't that far off.

Greetings ladies and gentlemen. It's been a very long time - 2 years, I believe!

Nice to see so many of you are still here and collecting :)

Apologies for my absence, I shall spare you the medical history and get to the point: I gotta downsize quickly, and all my Transformers gotta go (aside from a few beloved Autobots).

So here's my sales thread, all CHUG, and there's an insane discount if you take the lot - my mobility is severely limited and I don't fancy endless trips to the post office. Please PM me to discuss purchase(s).

    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/items-sale-trade/312491-uk-sales-thread.html

Peace and love to you all. I miss chatting with you guys and hope I'll be able to drop by more often in future.

I think my Stunticons may be plotting against me, apparently Blackjack's arrival was the signal for Off Road to finally set off. :sly:
I've got my eye on you, Motormaster.

EDIT: Sorry to hear about your circumstances, Bovril, wish you well with your sales.

    Good evening all.

Hope the week is a good one (geek? @stevil33)..

Are any of you venturing out to Roll Out, Roll Call? Thinking of going myself on the Sunday, thought it might be a day out at least.

    Any thoughts? Good or bad?

Its been more geek than sheek I can happily say personally :D

In regards to RORC, I say good I think, James has been trying to gee us up for it for a while now, in spirit I'm up for it, what it will come down to is if I have the cash for it!

    IMBAP but...

Good point, I forget sometimes that G1 toys with even halfway decent boxes tend to be somewhat unreasonably priced, and for the later releases, a fair bit harder to find on top of that

Still good to see you've been turned on to the insanity that are the monsterbots :D  and by all accounts had an excellent evening as well!

    Edit:

@stevil: bluestreak is looking blue!!! (Finally) why is it that there are always paint issues with the Datsuns!!! I'd've thought they'd worked it out after so many releases, whatever though, great pics nevertheless :thumb

    Great to hear dude :thumb

Mines been ok so far, being September (new car registrations and huge targets) but there's a long way to go yet.

So that's why I thought once this crazy month is out the way I'd have a bit more TF fun (got a great t-shirt to wear). Be great to catch up with you all again - possibly over a beer or two at RORC.

Bluestreak is looking stunning, shame there's been a bit of a QC issue with him. The colour just pops!

Was tempted but you know my rule on Autobots :sly2:
