I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next to Megs. It's hard to not get overly excited about the return of the DJD but I am and I worry I'll be let down when they do return.

I like having all of these "down time" issues in a row because it actually builds up more anticipation for the big confrontation that's inevitably waiting.

I like Meg's dialogue in this issue. It almost seems friendly/amicable but at the same time aloof and totally Meg-like. I also like how you just can't tell what the guy is thinking-- the reveal that he wants to put off what comes next is cool but you still don't know what he's thinking when he arrives to his plinth and the infinite flowers...

Go then. If the characters and story haven't gripped you right now that you want to find out what happens to them, then they're never going to.

One Megatron died. Our Megatron has the POP spark thanks to Whirl.

That "Megatron" that Rewind killed was never activated and so never actually existed. Megatron as we have always known him in the IDW continuity was born when Whirl placed the POP spark in the constructed cold body.

Never thought I'd say this, but I think I'm actually throwing in the towel. I've lost all emotional connection I had to this series and it's characters. This issue didn't change that. I guess it was good for what it was, but I didn't care about anything going on. In fact now that I know more about the necrobot I think I'd rather the mystery had continued.

Sad, but I think I'll pull the kill switch on my subscription on comixology . Just the way it goes some time. I'll return if I hear about something interesting happening I guess.

But that was before his body was finished being constructed; the incident was never recorded, and no one ever knew. When that bot came off the assembly line or whatever, he would already have had the point-one-percenter spark. So that "death" wouldn't be in the Necrobot's files.

I do agree with others that it seems like a missed opportunity for Megatron not to try to find out what happened to Terminus. It doesn't make sense for his character, unless he went searching off-page and we find out about it later.

And I assume that the Agent 113 storyline isn't as tidily wrapped up as it appears. Maybe 113 (previous Vos or whoever he actually is) is still alive. That's something else they could've checked while they were visiting the Necrobot.

Even so, the plinth in this issue is for that spark. There could theoretically be a plinth for the monier that was to be Megatron, but that ain't him.

I think Megatron must know what happened to Terminus. If Terminus just disappeared on him under dodgy circumstances (likely taken), why would he feel compelled to remove the dedication in Towards Peace? His comments to Rung about being taught not to get attached implies Terminus turned on him - how else would you interpret that?

Thanks for what? For just simply saying my piece on how I'm disappointed and will be dropping the series. Don't see anything wrong with that.

I don't know. You just didn't really say why I guess. I know you said it was lack of emotional ressonance, but... why? Was it carried over from the last three issues? Can you not stand Rewind and Chro.edome as a couple? Do you hate that Magnus takes off his armor in his office? There's nothing wrong with not liking it anymore, and it's not like you have to justify it or anything, it just kind of seemed out of nowhere to me.

He was shot before he lived, so he technically didn't die neither it changed the timeline.

Impossible to be the other spark of Megatron. If the Necrobot found out Megs spark burnt out he'd go there personally and wouldn't find a dead body, and would put him in that stone memorial, but soon would be taken off because the Necrobot would eventually know that he didn't die. But none of this could actually happend because at the time Rewind shot Megatron he wasn't even activated yet.
Also, if Rewind had actually killed him, we'd have seen Megs disappearing or something on the Lost Light. It's like Perceptor said to Rung, they was always meant to thrown in Megs and Impactor's table, Megatron was always meant to have that .1% spark. And if there's any doubt that he always had that spark, in Transformers #22, Ratchet said he was clean, except by a different colored spark.

Well I've posted in previous issue threads about my growing issues with the series. Some of which are more me than anything.

but to give a quick set of reasons anyway...I'm not emotionally connected to any character this season, where during the first season I was. The group during the first season all had compelling character stories. What I've read this season hasn't given me the same connection. Plus we don't really have a set of characters to connect to, and our cast is far to big.

Story lines have been disappointing, and none have rivaled any from the first season. Nor has an issue. Issue 12 from the first season has to be my favorite. Elegant Chaos is pretty much our biggest story, and I found that quite anti-climactic.

Then for the past 4 issue or so nothing has really happened. In fact, IMO, nothing has really happened this entire season that has interested me. Well I'll say the first 5 issues were pretty up there with the first Season work. Other than that the season has been pretty boring.

So no point in continuing if the direction of something you like isn't doing it for you. Nobody's the bad guys, I'm just one man who has grown dissatisfied with the comic, and thus and am dropping it.

I was really hoping for more DJD stuff... Not a bad issue, it's more serious than last, but I'm itching for plot progression. Stuff is going pretty slow.

Has Whirl left the Lost Light to go participate in Sins of the Wreckers? His absence is quite noticeable and I don't think he's been relegated to the off-panel cast.

I really enjoyed this issue. I loved how disappointed Nightbeat was with the Necrobot, I think it echoes the fanbase when we build up these mysteries in our heads to be more important than they actually are. We learned about the Necrobot, the identity of Agent 113, and the possible fate of Dominus Ambus all in one issue. And that last panel with Megatron was excellent!

Did anybody else think (at least for a moment) that with the dual build-up early in the issue of the Necrobot and Dominus Ambus that it was going to turn out that Dominus Ambus was the Necrobot? Solve two mysteries in one?
