Wait, couldn't it just be the prices are doubled?

    $20 Starscream to $40?

$10 Barricade and Bonecrusher to $20?

Isn't that kind of an ominous coincidence?

If I get a larger scale model of a Buffalo that transforms into a robot, I'll spawn my pants.

I thought HLJ always had high prices for Transformers stuff.
Usually close to double retail price.
I paid around $40 for a Voyager sized Energon Starscream a few years back.

Why would it be any different in a movie year?
HLJ is awesome, but it is in the business of profit.

HLJ charges retail price - the Japanese retail price, since they're a store in Japan selling Japanese toys. That price just happens to be about double the US retail for most main line Transformers.

HLJ is selling at retail price, as has been mentioned. Japanese retail is higher. On everything. Deluxes cost the equivilent of about $18-20, Megas around $30-35, etc. in Japan. HLJ isn't jacking up prices.

You think that's bad? A new release DVD in Japan is close to $40 when converted to US currency...

No. I've never seen them do it. Besides, the price in yen is always printed on the packaging and it always matches.

In fact, TFs are expensive all over the world, but not in the US.

What does interest me is the Battle Damaged Jazz listing. What is it?

MD-03 has already been listed as Brawl.

    Listings for TakaraTomy Movie Figures:

    http://www.tfans.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=53601

HLJ seems to have done a good job fudging up their listings.

Like I've mentioned in my earlier post, the listings on all sites except HLJ for MD-08 and 09 are Voyager Starscream and Deluxe Bonecrusher and the prices correspond with the size classes. Only HLJ has different prices leading to the misunderstanding that the listings are for larger size class versions of the characters.

Hasbro and TakaraTomy may yet release larger versions of Starscream and Bonecrusher but the listings for MD-08 and 09 are not the ones.
