I hate pre-order DLC. Sick of it, rather.

It's coming out as an extra for everything (Xbox One, 360, Playstations and PC) only Amazon have the set for all systems so far.

Hopefully other retailers will have some different pre-order bonuses. And no doubt there will be a digital collectors edition with all of the day one content.

 

Here's hoping this is a preorder bonus for all retailers. Cuz I already have mine pre-ordered at Gamestop.

It's a bonus for pre-ordering any version of it (I think) I have a physical copy on pre-order with amazon that has the same bonus.

Console exclusives on a multi-platform game are bullshit and are a low handed practice that needs to stop.

That and locked-disc content. Companies that pull this shit need to be shunned.

60$ for a 5 character, one-sided, campaign brawler game?....nope.

 

You guys do understand that its some times the console makers who pay or incentivize game publishers and retailers to provide exclusive content. I have no idea why the PS4 is getting these exclusives (they might not actually) but one possible reason is because Sony was willing to cough up money or some other incentive to get theses exclusive pre-order bonuses.

If it really bothers you, get the GOTY edition. Although, if you are a fan of what Hasbro and the game developers are trying to do, I would not do that. Pre-order, buy early, make the game a big hit from the get-go-- that's what the decision makers pay attention to.

Never in a million years did I ever imagine we'd get a modern game set in the G1 era with such polish and from a top-tier developer. We gotta rock the sales charts in order to keep getting more of this content.

 

Eh, not back to start. I'm gonna wait a couple of months before I preorder just to see if they'll come out with a collector's/limited/whatever physical game version.

 

I love this ! but come on red Alerts head is RED not black. thats a downer for me. Also the pre-order stuff sort of sucks. Wish the Pc version had these as well and not just the PS

Red alert's Black Head is toy accurate so it gets a pass from me. I may preorder for ps3.

 

It's three character reskins and three weapons which for all we know are also reskins of things in the game. Other than potentially at most three missing visual options and three weapons in a game touting many more weapons in the arsenal, not having the pre-order content shouldn't take away from the core game at all.

Dude, this isn't High Moon Studios grade BS where entire character models are locked away.

Plus, where does it clearly say this is disc-locked? Sure, it says DLC, but that usually means downloadable content, not disc locked for purely superficial content like what these bonuses are.

And a franchise title coming from one of the top game publishers currently in the business? I'd think $60 is the norm for something like this these days.

 

You have every right to be skeptical and as gamers, we have a lot of evidence to be skeptical. Having said that, I'm excited by the premise and what we've seen so far. Is it possible that it will be a huge failure? Yup. I'm choosing to be optimistic.

You can call it shilling. I'm just excited. And as someone else pointed out, this is a triple-A developer working on this, not some fly-by-night operation to produce a quick cash grab (i.e. Rise of the Dark Spark).

I've got it pre ordered already at an alright price so if I get it, yay. If not thats fine too. It does make me wish they had done a classics Goldbug toy though.

 

From what I've heard the legend of curry game they made wasn't well received, nobodies perfect.
