The Hasbro versions colours suck compared to tak and yoth.

For the of you who own it, do you guys find this guy worthy of the price? How would you price it realistically?

I say it looks good, like almost 80 Euros good. The prices they ask for this are insane, for the price they are asking it looks like shhhhh. For close to 200 I would expect a FAR superior product (mp1 is far superior in build, not in styling or proportions, yet half the price, meaning taktom is f'ing everyone over with it's bs price policy).

Taktom is right about 1 thing though, if people are paying then the price must be right (it's overpriced as hell).

Definitely worth it to me and this is as cheap as this guy's going to get. Might help to think of it this way - A mainline leader figure is around $40 at least, right? A figure like MP-10 is at least 4X better in terms of aesthetics, engineering, articulation, build quality, finish, and he's much larger when you include his trailer.

Let's not forget also that when MP-10 was originally released in 2011, it was $250 (US retailers). Now it retails for $190.

Which begs the question, why has it gotten cheaper?

Not bad, but where's MP-1 and all those variants behind the MP-10s? ;)

Very nice! If you could only have one, which would it be?

So far I only have MP-2. Once I have MP-4, MP-1B, Sleep Mode, and 20th Anniversary, I'll be almost done my convoy of Convoys. Pepsi Convoy, where are you?

That's a tough question, but I'd have to go with the Takara, he's the one that most resembles my idealized version of the original toy. I may even paint his dead eyes yellow just to complete the effect. Eva Mode and Black Convoy would be second and third respectively.

Nice. So far I have the Hasbro MP-10 and 20th Anniversary Hasbro MP-1 with diecast smokestacks. I did sell my MP-04 a while back which I kind of regret now. Ideally for me, it would be cool to have two of each of the MP Primes for bot mode and alt mode display. But I'll probably end up just having one of each.

That being said, how would you compare the Hasbro TRU MP-10 against the TT in terms of aesthetics and build quality? Does the added red paint of the TT make a big difference and does the TT seem better built to you? I am considering selling my Hasbro and getting the TT.

Other than having the biggest chest gap of the seven, and the paint differences, my Hasbro reissue Prime is just as solid as the Takara reissue Convoy. The relative lack of paint and brighter colours on the Hasbro version does make it look more toy like. The Takara version, despite ironically looking more like the original toy to me colour wise, has a more premium collectable look to it.

I'm proud to own them both, but I'd grab my Takara first if I had to flee my Apt.

Seems most people agree the TT version is more premium while some prefer the brighter colors of the Hasbro. Like anything else, it just comes down to personal preference. Thanks DD.

So TT is actually painted and not unpainted like Hasbro? It does look much shinier like the black MP-10 I have and love.

Except for the biceps and obliques, the red on TT's Optimus is red paint with a matte finish. It looks absolutely beautiful. Both sides of the trailer interior are painted silver, which really makes the molding pop, and there are additional silver paint apps on the seats of the trailer interior as well as a silver paint app the Hasbro is missing around the cab's tires.

Check your Matrix, i had to remove the core and reseat it and the chest gap went away. I first noticed the Matrix was the issue when i put the YOTH one in and the doors closed all the way.

As do i, a friend has the MP-10, i liked it, but to me the Hasbro Blue pops more, as well as the painted eyes and cab lights.

Personally I like YOTH best followed by regular Hasbro followed by regular Takara. In terms of quality Takara MP10 feels the tightest (recent reissue), followed by YOTH, followed by my Asia reissue of Hasbro MP Optimus which suffers from the chest doors not closing qute flush, the bumper and matrix cover being a tad loose (which is okay for me but it's worth pointing out) and the gun compartment not holding when the gun is inside. Takara MP10 to YoTH may not be a fair comparison though because I've handled YOTH Prime a lot since I got him in like 2013 whereas my Takara MP10 hasn't been handled much at all since I got it end of May and YOTH Prime has been solid for me throughout.
Takara MP10's red I don't feel adds much outside of a marginally noticable gloss. The paint inside the trailer does make a massive difference though. Hasbro's painted eyes on the otherhand make the bot mode pop really nicely and the headlight paint is nice too. There's also the silver along the wheels that Dean mentioned (personally I prefer it not being there but it is a difference to note).

This; this is what I aspire to. Well done good sir!
All I have is the "dvd" classics release of 20th anniversary Optimus. Bet MP2 looks amazing in person (a good only version to have, unless it's yellowed which I hope your's hasn't.)

The eyes could be fixed but I'll never ever take apart a 150 bucks toy to mod it or paint it myself.
