Currently uploading the video, but during my review of CW prowl I found neither the hands or feet fit prowl. Prowl's port relies on the wider section on the included hands, and the port is not deep enough to fit the wider section of this set.

Why wouldn't it fit if it does Deadend?

The prowl I have only fits snug on the base of the peg rather the long section like my other figures. The pe peg is too long for the thicker section to reach the base of the prowl.

Maybe this photo can help illustrate it. If not then just watch the video.

The Dead End mold can be fiddly when it comes to the pegs. In my experience if you can't get the thicker part of the peg to go in, it's looser and wobblier, less stable.

Just got the takara set with both pe upgrades. It looks fantastic! I can confirm that the torso mode chest does separate easily without the added chest shield. Using the chest shield locks it together firm. Definitely needed if you don't want to keep reconnecting the chest. It also helps him, from the side view, to look more like a man's chest as opposed to the original's 10 year old boy chest. The feet could be about 15-20% smaller, though. Still looks good as is.

    I have the Takara Superion set and i thought I would be fine without this upgrade kit. However, I saw the kit in person and it looks really nice, so I grabbed it. Now I cant get the screw out of Superion's head ;_;

Just got PC-03, dig the chest/torso/crotch plate but Superion will keep his Hasbro head that matches the rest of him. Those are wave 4 feet.

Here is why I am not a fan of the head: too small, the gold only matches Slingshots leg panels, antenna lack detailing. I do like the 2 face gimmick but he looks like a Defensor want-to-be (blue visor, lips, silver).

I was scrolling through this thread because I've been comtemplating upgrading my UW Superion. A bit annoying how the chest doesn't really stay locked together. I was thinking that the head/chestplate set was the way to go until I saw the price. I have to agree with you here; what PE is asking really doesn't seem like good value to me at all. I like both bits but PE has definitely lost a sale from me. The price is 30% what I paid for my entire giftset ... I just can't justify that to myself.

    So, got it in.

Was surprised to see that the box was not taped, while the hand/feet sets were. (Odd.)

So, first impressions are that the build quality doesn't feel quite right, but still quite solid. Paint is crisp and clean with no thin spots and no overspray, which is odd considering it's a bright glossy white.

    Other thoughts:
The hinge is nice and tight and holds firm.

I must say, the piece does add some definition to the torso and makes the chest look bigger and stronger, and outside of the red being a slight shade darker (almost unnoticeable), looks like it's meant to be a part of Silverbolt and not an additional piece.

Everyone who stated that it locks the chest in place was right. If you get the plate in just right, it locks down firm and won't come loose. I didn't even know loose chests were a problem until I saw it tonight. Mine's not loose, but I can see how the "seal" could pop loose and the chest could separate. Not so with this set, which I like. I like the stability a lot.

The head? Really nice quality, paint is impeccable. I love the smaller size because it'll fit inside Silverbolt's torso easier, but it seem like it might be a bit derpy looking once installed. Got clown shoes for feet, skeletal hands and a shrunken head...

I get what the set is trying to do, and when it does work it works well, but it's a LOT of money for what you get. A small head and a red plate. My wife just about hit the roof when I opened the box, I thought she was going to freak. (She was more mad at the situation, not at me, but still.)

I'm not sure what I'm doing with it just yet, but I'm terribly disappointed that it doesn't do more and doesn't fix the neck plate breakage issue. Crap.

EDIT: So...it's looking like I'm stuck with it. I tried out the new head (which is REALLY nice) and it's stuck. Like it's screwed in. They made the locking tabs nice and tight, which is great if you're keeping it from the get go, but if you were trying to make sure like I was, you could be SOL. I tried to remove it, but the plastic on the head and the neck plate felt like they were stressing, so I gave up. I'm not going to break either one.

I'll chalk it up to a $33.00 lesson learned. Fortunately, the head and chest do look really nice in combined form. I mean, I can't possibly oversell it (though I'd try) but this does look ace with the pieces on. I must admit, Silverbolt looks kind of badass rockin' it as a shield weapon, so it's not a total loss I must concede. Vehicle mode, however? Pass. It's not even worth using in vehicle mode. It's just a hollowed out box on the bottom of the nosecone/neck of the plane and literally has no reason to be there.

Turn the whole head around backward and it should just slide off.

Tried. It's on there quite solidly. I'm not willing to put a lot of force on it, because I'm absolutely certain one or both may break. It could be that it's just my set, so ymmv.

Got mine in today with the Menasor set. I really can't blame anyone for feeling ripped off, when I opened the box and slid out the plastic tray there was a moment of realization, a voice in the back of my head that said "you paid how much for that?" I mean, I knew what it was all along.... but seeing it with my own eyes made me think "what the hell am I doing with this hobby?" Ok, enough of that...

I do like it. I always rationalized that I was buying the set for the head and I feel I at least got what I wanted with that. It looks so much better than the stock Superion head and I love the built-in face swap feature. The chest piece is kind of a bonus but it does snap in solidly once you figure it out and I do think Superion looks better with it attached. I do wish they had also done a thigh piece to thicken it a bit since that's the one thing Superion really needs. Hell, with thicker thighs the foot upgrade wouldn't look as off as they do with Superion's skinny thighs. Just an observation on my part.

If paying 3P prices for stuff gets you down:

It could be worse, you could play Warhammer 40K.

Just got the head only for dirt cheap, split the set with another member who only wanted the chest piece. So win-win for both of us.

So far I'm really diggin' the head without the mouth plate, as it kinda reminds me of the 80s Japanese Studio Ox design for Superion face.

Yeah, I'm interested in both sets but not really at the price they're going for (especially the current one due that, since is currently sold out for the most part, people are starting to inflate the prices).

I just got my Unite Warriors Superion and is actually pretty cool by itself in combined form so I'm not really dying to get these upgrades.

What do you guys think are the odds of a PE kit for Defensor? I really have no idea what they'd do with it though. I'd probably pay some money for a better combiner gun.
