    Now PLEASE pay attention 007.....

It seems in all the final figure galleries I have seen of this guy, his upper arms are assembled incorrectly.

Luckily, all we have to do to fix this problem is swap the 2 parts of his upper arm with the 2 corresponding parts from the other arm and...Tada! He's fixed!

I just know I'm going to have to make the swap. Me and my damn perfection.

If it doesn't cause any real problems I doubt I'll bother changing anything. If it can still tansform and move correctly I don't think it's really a big deal. Interesting find though.

No it doesn't cause any issues whatsoever, don't even notice it unless your looking.

    >>>I know this was moved to the Toyark, but I think this can be taken as news.
I'm sure people buying this toy would want to know this.

Has anyone else noticed any mis-assembly errors on other movie toys?

Not on the ones I got (although my Bumblebee came with 2 left missile launchers).

If it impedes the transformation, then yeah. Ill change the arms around, but if it still transforms perfectly fine, then i will keep it alone.

I'm gonna have to switch them too. Thanks for catching this!

You'd think after all these years, QC would catch stuff like this.

I'm amazed at how people notice things like this! I never ever ever would have known... having said that, once I get the figure and if it looks like it would be easy to do, I might just have to switch them as well.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I just performed the surgery on my Prime and he's resting up just fine. In fact, he's already on his feet again, toting his BMF gun, and feeling a little less embarassed as his screws aren't showing anymore. It took me all of 5-10 minutes, and about ten screws in total. He looks just fine, works just fine, nothing broke. I am happy. Thanks for the heads up!

    I'll be fucking damned.

Due to my stupity with things like this, I am officially requesting instructions. I really want Prime to be perfect.

I know I know. Feel free to mock me.

I don't have this guy yet, otherwise I would have already made instructions for the switch.
But I did tell you guys on the previous page which 2 parts from each arm have to be swapped in order for him to be correct.

    >>>Could someone who already has this figure and has photoshop be so kind to work on instructions for robo ric?

I'm glad that my finding has been of service to everyone.
    Everyone enjoy your movie toys!

I'm sorry I can't be of service in that regard. I honestly just don't have the time for a commitment like that with a 1 year old, an opposed work schedual to my wife's, a really big dog, and a house to continually fix and improve...just not in the cards right now. If it still hasn't been done when some time frees up, i'll totally try and do it up.

It's a pretty easy mod. Just be wary of springs in each section that got taken apart the way I did it. I managed to keep them on the entire 5-10 minutes it took for the operation - didn't lose a thing. And I must add that I am by no means a kitbasher. I've modded some toys, and have many plans for kitbashes, but I'm not an expert by any means.

I can answer any questions you have about it, but just don't have the time to make an instruction manual.

    Wait a cycle...

On yours, the blue appears to be on the outside of the left arm, and the red inside, but on this one, it looks to be correct. Maybe the one you picked up is a rare case of misassembly. (?)

I think you are looking at Prime wrong. His lower arms (the blue parts) are the color of the plastic. The arms are made of blue plastic and thus, have blue on either sides. The red you see on his lower arms are just paint applications.

The blue plastic on his lower arms form the back of the truck's cab (it's blue) in vehicle mode.

    Sorry. I fixed it.

I don't know if I will do the mod myself. I might just keep him like he already is since it doesn't mess with the toy at all.
