Yeah, the friendship is (not) magic kind of makes me iffy too all things considered. I'm sure the cover is just Roche having some fun. Nice to see Cyclonus and Getaway will be clashing finally. I'm not as sure about this ex-RID since I don't care much for Optimus nor Victorion, but It's cool to see Sky-Byte doing things again. I'm too excited for SOTW. That synopsis is everything I could ask for to get me hyped.
All of these got me excited in different ways. Ex-RiD, the focus still seems to be on Prime. I'm surprised that we'll be seeing Victorian again. Though I am curious as to what bullet point meant by 'The Autobots are DOOMED!' Cause I'm having a hard time imagining the conflict for this Conquerers story arc. Also, Sky Byte! MTMTE, looks like the long brewing tension between Cyclonus and Getaway will finally come to a head. But how exactly will this affect anything? Seems a bit irrelevant. Though it did say how the Lost Light is now going to get divided. We shall see, MTMTE has some trust to rebuild as of late... Wreckers, now this is what I'm excited for! So Prowl being kidnapped is the catalyst and he will get his true comeuppance. I bet he gets brutally tortured for a good portion of the miniseries. I'm just so happy to see this that I cannot wait for it!
Hopefully Prowl will have some sense beaten into his head and finally gets over himself. Apparently beating the slag out of him is the only kind of reasoning that works. And maybe this will be a starting point of something better for this character. As much as I like Arcee, I hope she won't overshadow the Wreckers. It's a book about them, after all.
I dont think she will but she really is Wreckers material if you think about it and her backstory. She should fit right in with a bunch of misfits like the Wreckers. I have a really good feeling that SOTW will be as sadistic and as adult as LSOTW ever was. A good adult story is needed I think. Can you imagine some of the potential torture scenes of Prowl. To make him talk? It will be THE issue of November no question.
So the sexual tension in the Getaway-Tailgate-Cyclonus love triangle finally comes to a head. Considering how angry Cyclonus can get sometimes, I wonder if the casualties Roberts alluded to won't come from that issue, rather than #50. Also, heck yes SOTW! Quite curious to see how the Wreckers respond to having to rescue their best buddy Prowl, seeing as only Arcee and Optimus have made any effort to save him from himself.
Theory time Hes given a leave of absence from the LL and allowed back in the Wreckers as a one off to help with the mission. Before returning to the LL.
I hope Ultra Magnus and Whirl both do SoTW for an issue or two. If just out of the hope that Verity gets to see their holomatter avatars. Anyway, my main hope for MtMte is that it turns out that Getaway is an asshole of such great proportion that he seems like the lovechild of Nova Prime and Prowl. and that Cyclonus and Tailgate jointly kick his ass to Luna 1. or even better, after that we find out he's a traitorous Decepticon when the DJD show up and finish the job Cyclonus and Tailgate started. That would be kind of bad fan-ficy, but i'd still love it.
I hope Sandstorm gets released from prison to join the new team of Wreckers. And maybe Whirl and Broadside (and Perceptor?) leave the Lost Light for a bit? If not I'm sure all of them will show up in flashbacks or something (except maybe Perceptor as they seem to for whatever reason be downplaying his badass Wrecker sniper side now)
SOTW wouldnt be the same without Magnus. Maybe Getaway is Agent 113 lol No he probably isnt. But he definitely deserves to get his aft kicked by Cyclonus.
Eh, Roadbuster got one and he hasn't been featured in comics lately, Rhinox had a cameo appearance (after the toy was released?) and Bombshell/Shrapnel have been absent lately. Getaway can still get a toy, even if Cyclonus makes a necklace out of his innards.
I'd rather some final comeuppance and then sidelineing. Prowl has been super in focus last 6 years or so. As much as I enjoy where he is as a character right now, I'm thinking a year or two without him would refresh the archetype a bit
YOU'RE A TEARING ME A PART! I can't wait to see how Tailgate resolved the conflict between him, Cyclonus and Getaway. Sins of the Wreckers is going to start off with Prowl being kidnapped....who would kidnap him is the question I want to know?
*stares at picture again* .......... oh, OH OH! Now I see it! The nose is piggy-er than I remembered. I was seeing a small, sharp, triangular nose with a wad of white underneath and couldn't tell if it was a mustache or teeth or frozen snot or whatever.
