Has been a while since I posted a WIP thread, and finally had some time to take some snaps of a few I am working on. Have had these guys bouncing around in my head for a long time, and a few months ago, I finally compiled all the parts to get started. I started with a G1 Grotusque, and a Zoids Zaber Fang. I glommed a bunch of those parts onto a Silverbolt frame, with a lot of heavy modifications. Still a lot of filling and detailing out to do on him to fill in his gaps, but overall pretty happy with both modes. Surprising how hard it is to make a winged sabertooth mode. Doublecross is coming a long a lot smoother. He has too many parts to list here, but the main inspiration started from the head of a Zoids Dark Spiner figure. Had to secure two of these to get this guy started. Take a look at the progress so far, and let me know what you think.
Dood, if this is the way you portray these two Im probly gonna faint when i see Repugnus! Never imagined these guys looking that cool. Cannot wait to see them painted.
EPIC! I own all 3 of the originals, and love how faithful you are to their look, transformation, and most importantly, their feel. Perfect work so far. Great use of parts. Simply brilliant update for the 21st century Tell me you are doing Repugnus.
Thanks all! Glad you like them. Repugnus is indeed being worked on, but is not as far along as these two. I will be selling these when I finish them up. Trying to figure out if I wait until all 3 are finished, or if I sell them separately. More to come!
Thanks all! A little update. Scratchbuilt wings on Doublecross, as well as built out his shoulders, and chest. Have put the first coat of primer on them. Will even out rough spots. Still have to fashion Doublecross' horns, and work out tails for both of them. Next update will likely be individual threads for each of the completed figures.
When I first saw these on Facebook I was hoping they were from a 3P, and looked like they could have been. That's a testament to your work!!
Looking great just the primer brings them together it is easier to see them. Cant wait to see them painted.
