well, I do see there is interest in the toon, which did look nice in person. I guess one thing I really like more on the toy are the silver thigh, and more silver overall, but otherwise, both look great.

 

I just noticed the toy version comes with a gas tank on the left foot (hope it's removable), I wonder if the toon versions has that option.

 

WOW, now I can't even decide which one to order... The toon looks great and the toy one looks off just a tad in color from the original. It looks like it has too much blue in it or is that just my monitor? Is that shine accurate?

 

What's interesting to note is that from those pics the thighs will be die-cast?
I am going for the toon one and I thought I'd just see if I wanted his thighs white like Sipeswipe or silver like Prowl once I had it in hand and compared to the others. I already re-painted MP Prowl's thighs to get a better silver and I thought I could simply do the same with GunDog if I wanted, but could I just strip the white paint off and go from there? Kinda doubt bare die-cast would match the rest of the silver paint on the toon version, but could be interesting.

 

Nice for a Classics / updated, collection G1 toy collection, but as far as my MP collection goes, ill stick to the FT one. But this is a damn nice looking figure.

Does anyone know if the mirrors fold down like FTs version?

Doesn't look like it. If it doesn't fold down in official pics, more likely it doesn't move at all.

 

I had settled on FTs offering but this is a much closer race then I originally thought. I still slightly prefer FTs hound but it is probably a long ways off. I hope these recent pics incite Ft to counter.

Either way I don't think a collector can go wrong.

The toon version also appears to have blue hands/shoulders/crotch. And his tires are black. If it were some weird blue lighting, I would assume that the tires should also look blue.
