ok, so with THAT being the case, I'd be REAAAAAL surprised if UT doesn't offer some official fix....since, technically it's the utmost THEIR fault possible.

I mean, the figure is arriving damaged.

THAT needs to be addressed, asap.

I only ordered Hun-Gurr from CP. I am awaiting Hagen from an eBay seller.

Yeah, I'm hoping they'll offer replacements, but as Dr Killinger said, they're also a pain in the ass to remove and replace, because of a gnarled pin. If anything, at least Dr. K is working on an alternative.

OK I tried to do what fixing I could on mine. My Hagen at least came with the replacement washers so I replaced them easily enough. I opened his crotch to look at the waist ratchets, and while one ratchet was totally fine, the other had one tooth that was completely busted, and the other part that goes up against the other ratchet looks like it was melted down or something, instead of mostly a triangle it was a low hump. Tried to shave it a bit but it's so short that it doesn't give much resistance now anyway so the ratchet isn't very strong. Definitely going to need some replacement there.

I also attempted to cut the springs for the leg slide but I apparently don't have strong enough cutters. I was able to barely cut down the combiner port springs though, but that was rough. So hopefully I don't have any issues there. Overall this is way too many issues for me, almost as many as Apollyon, but hopefully Siegfried won't break like he did.

Even though my Sigfried hasn't arrived yet I dread what I'll have to do...if anything I'll leave him in the box and wait and see if any other alterations can be used...that or when Dr. K makes the mod which I'll be keeping a watch in this thread....

How has UT been in the past with replacement parts?...can't see them wanting to take a PR hit like this...

I liked Salmoore and their Sharkticons. Didn't have any QC issues on them. Not sure if their Predacons had QC issues, as I chose Feral Rex instead.

I'm very much interested in UT's combiner but the reported QC issues do have me worried. I too will be keeping an eye on the good Dr. K for his diagnosis and prescribed treatment for this guy.

Any estimate on when those ratchets and retainer will be available? Definitely going to get them.

Is the combiner connector spring vital to remove? Cause I can't seem to undo that screw without fear of stripping it. So very tight.

I just sent the originals to ATP today for measurements and test prints. ETA for a final product and pricing is about 2 to 3 weeks.

Yes I'll be selling them directly since ATP makes slightly more money this way and it keeps price down a bit.

Are the joints suffering permanent damage to molded parts or is it just the internal ratchets that are dying? IE, if you buy Siegfried, should you avoid transforming/posing him completely until you get the parts replaced, or will the parts fully repair him?

Count me in for replacement ratchets, Doc.

Just got my replacement Hagen from tfsource. Still no replacement ratchets for the combiner knees on Siegfried.

I'm not really sure DREAD is the appropriate word ...

I have not done one fix to this figure and its fine. Still transforms, still combines, and still holds poses. You have nothing to DREAD about getting this figure IMHO.

What are you guys doing to make sure the ratchets don't just sheer again?

No other 3P company does that, please don't expect the same of us.

Kidding aside, I take it you don't own or Warbo ratchets or even seen the videos? The material used is super flexible but sturdy and I also personally test the part myself and on camera for all to see.
