Steve Jablonski hasn't let me down yet. He can keep doing it as far as I'm concerned.

Keep Steve Jablonsky. After all, he did give us Arrival to Earth, Sentinel Prime's theme, and Dinobot Charge.

Steve Jablonsky is doing a great job so far, but assuming he gets fired, or they decide to go about things in a different way?

Cliff Martinez, former drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers and GENIUS of electronic composition. He's scored Far Cry 4, which I heard was awesome, Spring Breakers, which even if it was weird had a great soundtrack, and Drive, my all-time favorite movie, along with several other films. The guy is great at both ambient, dark tracks...

And tense, atmospheric tracks - this song plays as the main character gets into a fistfight with GOD.

Now, I know what a lot of you are saying. "But this guy's way too underscored for a Transformers movie! We need someone loud!" to which I say...

We have someone loud, it's Steve. Now do you want the same old composer or someone different?

    Keep Jablonsky.

He's one of the few things everybody loves about the movies.

    I guess i'd get John Williams....even though that'll never happen...nor James Horner. ;_;

John Williams, his music can elevate a bland movie to poetry. His music alone tells a story. Immersive, thrilling, and powerfully emotional, his take is a perfect grip on what the type of science fiction spectacle Transformers is, or should be.

    Some interesting choices in here!

But I'd still say KEEP STEVE JABLONSKY AT ALL COSTS.

I'd actually like to see Imagine Dragons stick around with him for at least a couple more movies, too. Their work on TF:AoE was excellent, and I especially liked how much the band collaborated with Jablonksy. More of that, plz!

Well, I think you know where I stand on that, lol.

But I just wanted to add that I would LOVE to see a Transformers movie with a Cliff Martinez score someday, too. I'll watch ANYTHING he's scored, frankly...he seems to have pretty great taste in projects.

I loved Spring Breakers and his work in it, and Drive is also one of MY all-time favorite movies! But as cool as his stuff is in both it's kinda overshadowed by all non-score, soundtrack songs in both movies. But I still loved his scores for them enough to see who composed them!

However, it was "The Knick" on Showtime that really made me sit up and take notice of his work. If you haven't seen it, I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking it out...it's easily one of my top favorite TV shows right now. Can't wait for the second season to start soon!

Anyway, his work on it fantastic and it's ALL him for each episode. His hypnotic, gurgling, synth score for it was what finally made me look him up online and see what else he'd done. Lo and behold, it turned out he's worked with some of my favorite musicians going back DECADES, like the Stinkfist EP by Clint Ruin and Lydia Lunch from '87! He's only one of MANY people credited with "Drums & Metal" on that but it's pretty obscure and badass so you might want to track that down sometime, too.

Oh, here's a playlist of his score for Season One of "The Knick," btw:

Steve Jablonsky is easily the best and most consistently good part of these films. I definitely think he should stay. If not, well, I'm not really certain. I don't follow movie scores composers that much.

Actually, I'd like that. I thought their score for Tron Legacy was good and a more techno-y sound for TF would be fitting.

Bob Buckley. He did BW and BM. Imagine what he could do when given the equipment and instrumental pieces for cinematic scores!
