sounds like they are kinda "getting it" but some real issues remain.

TRANSFORMERS 5 (Paramount), Of course it will be huge. Its the cash cow the year it comes out

G.I. JOE 3 (Paramount), Unless they reboot it, and either make it something kids will think is cool, or set it in the 80's to show joes with our modern tech, compared to the 80's tech to show how advanced the joe team was..KEEP IT..ROC is one of the worst movies..and the 2nd was a TAD more to the core, but then lost all credibility in certain spots to make it a viable movie.

JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS (Universal & Allspark Pictures),
Seriously? did you see the trailer??? Its a freaking show about "hannah Montana" NOT a kick ass girl band that uses hologram tech to dress them n shit..GARBAGE FLOP in the making

OUIJA 2 (Universal & Allspark Pictures), Wait? oija one happened? NEXT!

MAGIC: THE GATHERING (21st Century Fox), Magic is huge..this COULD be done and make money, but knowing thier track record it will be about snowmen and santa claus instead of what the games actually does.. NEXT!

PLAY-DOH (21st Century Fox) And in an attempt to capture Lego movie's success, Hasbro reinvents GUMBY! Lego movie and Paydoh movie will NOT be the same.. Kids get sucked into play dough word..boring movie..the end..NEXT!

MY LITTLE PONY (Allspark Pictures).” Cant argue the success of the ponies and bronies..this will do well I think.

Being a die hard Joe fan...the thought of ANY continuation of past movies makes me want to piss on my computer monitor.

RID continuing? Awesome. Son loves it.

I'm surprised about Rescue Bots continuing, the Season 3 finale sounded a lot like a finale episode.

RiD, I'm glad we got confirmation of it's returning.

CW, I'm still really excited for this. Due it being geared towards older fans. Just hoping the animations decent.

An IDW Combiner Wars Animated series??!?!?!?!?! AWESOME!!!!!

Hasbro, here's a quick tip: Save your money and cancel RiD then pour it into Combiner Wars Show, support it with awesome toys then watch the Transformers demand and money come pouring in.

    Movies:

TRANSFORMERS 5 (Paramount), - 3 words for Hasbro: "Director Neill Blomkamp". Other tips for success: go back to the product / toy plan used for Revenge of the Fallen and COPY IT!!!!!!

G.I. JOE 3 (Paramount), - 3 words for Hasbro: "Director David Ayer". One more word and a letter: "Rated R". See 'Expendables' franchise for more details.

Other movie titles we don't care about:

JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS (Universal & Allspark Pictures), - Saw the trailer. Someone at Hasbro shit the bed on this one.

OUIJA 2 (Universal & Allspark Pictures), - Yes Ouija 1 is out and can be seen on Netflix. It was direct to video/digital. Is Hasbro aware of how many films are based on this product? How many actually have the name? No brand control.

MAGIC: THE GATHERING (21st Century Fox), The game is still popular, but seems more like an underground thing now. If the film is done right, this would be a huge success!

PLAY-DOH (21st Century Fox) - Lego was a success. I imagine Play Doh will be to.

MY LITTLE PONY (Allspark Pictures) - a movie for Bronies? Yeah that's just freak'n weird.

So Hasbro shouldn't be targeting their toys towards Kids?
You're right. Toys aren't for kids, they are for us! The fans are always more important!
There are a lot of RID fans out there. Don't wish for something to die just because you don't like it.

    Oh here we go again...

I will never understand this. Why is it the second I or anyone else asks Hasbro to put full support for IDW story lines and other tightly G1 inspired content through toys and cartoons, it instantly means; "Ohhhhh you say/believe toys are not meant for kids". Or, my personal favorite; "toys are meant for kids not adults".

Why do we get this reaction [from other members] when it is suggested to have great stories written by IDW be put in animated form? Why do we get this reaction when when we ask Hasbro to put 100% support in generations toy lines? How does this translate into going against the wants and needs of kids? This may actually be a shock but kids actually love the the original story lines. Kids like complex story telling and well done character development. Kids like good transformer figures! I've been to collector shows where kids inquire about what the cannon stories were about. Kids read the IDW comic books.

If you are thinking about the needs of younger kids, that's what Robot Heroes is for

Yes, Hasbro can please the collectors while at the same time keep kids engaged. Hasbro's been treating this move like a an experiment for a while now and IMO I feel they need to go full steam a head and commit to making toys and animation both collectors and kids will enjoy. It is just my opinion.

^^Well the fact that Hasbro's bothering to give us a series for the more older fans is a good indication of Hasbro aiming to please both kids and adults so I'd say at this point it's a win-win depending if the CW series ends up being awesome or not.

    Agreed!

Looking forward to seeing how this will be. I hope this opens the gateway for Hasbro and IDW to build a longer (15 year) agreement to which they will be following the same formula that DC, in the past and Marvel, in the present, have used.

I don't expect much from the CW Machinima. It's probably going to be on the same quality level as the old Universe Flash cartoons. Here's hoping it's Mortal Kombat Legacy-levels of good.

Play-Doh The Movie? Lego Movie was bad, I expect no less from this.

Ouija 2 is completely unnecessary. The last one sucked, what more is there to tell with this stupid thing.

I honestly don't know if giving TF5 to Blomkamp will result in one of the following or not:

    - Movie is actually much more urban in appearance and carries a powerful story that makes it the strongest film of the series yet, even though it's set in the slums of a South African nation like the last few of his films when not in the slums of China (because let's be honest, TF5 no matter what will pander HARD to the Chinese market again)

    - The film actually has promise but Blomkamp screws it up with a few mind-boggingly bad casting choices. Seriously, Chappie could have been so good had he not put in those idiot rappers just because he was a fan of their music and treating the titular robot like a brain-dead Jar-Jar Binks.

    - Regardless of the film's quality, it becomes the subject of controversial discussion over how it's semi-transparently commentary on modern world politics or something (I.E. Elysium all over again)

Honestly, I don't think Blomkamp is the right director for a TF film - we need to move away from all the grimdark serious bullshit. It's a film about transforming space robots that turn into human vehicles or should be mainly about said robots instead of goddamn human inserts that throw themselves into situations that sane people would run away from really, really fast. The films need to stop taking the entire premise AND themselves so seriously in order to be good - a good comparison would be the style of the Ant-Man film where it's obvious the film never does forget to point out that even the film itself does not take the concept of Ant-Man seriously. And it works.

Also, ROTF isn't that great an idea to revisit, either - you want a toyline full of ROTF Mixmaster voyagers?

^^We don't even know if the next TF movie would be that dark right now. I mean yeah AOE was dark but that was because of the kind of story they were going for so for all we know TF5 would lighten up a bit.

    AOE was dark...Oh please...

Neill Blomkamp's film 'Chappie" was brilliant action film making, completely free of formulaic cheesy standards of Bays work: "lets make sure we have the hot chick scene here first and then place the flag here. Now have the slow kiss scene and after that enter the dorky guy who walks in. Now we need an explosion with the male walking very very very slowly."

When I saw Chappie my first thought was; "Why isn't this guy doing Tranformers?" The action sequences were so well done.

Neill, knows effects, he knows robots and technology. He created a great personality for the Chappie robot. Neill is great at building a compelling narrative through the technology his stories are about.

RID is continuing? That's kind of unfortunate. Oh well. I will say that I'm ready for the the CW Bruticus that comes out in early 2016. Assuming if my area is long to be able to get the figures that are coming out in the near future (Ultra Magnus and Starscream). I honestly think the distribution and stocking of the Transformers figures was seriously lacking this summer season.

It's good to know that RID2015 will be getting a Season 2. I'm hoping for some more TF: Prime Autobots, Decepticons, and Predacons to show up. Not all at once, of course. Maybe just scattered throughout the season. I've been dying to know Starscream's and Shockwave's fates and what Megatron's been doing for the past two years now, so I'm really hoping those questions will be answered next season.

I've never been a follower of Rescue Bots, but I feel it's a good show from the handful of episodes that I've seen, so I'm glad to know it's being continued.

Transformers 5, like any Transformers movie (in my opinion), could be a good or bad experience, especially with Michael Bay directing. Since it does mean more Movie-verse toys, then no matter what the movie's like, I have something to look forward to.

This Combiner War series intrigues me. Obviously, it will feature characters from the Combiner Wars line, so the Aerialbots, Stunticons, Constructicons, Combaticons, and Protectobots. I wouldn't be surprised if Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Prowl, Sunstreaker, Mirage, Rodimus, Sky Lynx, Wreck Gar, Hound, Trailbreaker, Wheeljack, Smokescreen, Ultra Magnus, Megatron, Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp showed up as well. As it's a more adult-oriented show, and he isn't in the toyline (so far), it may very well be the first show in a while that won't feature Bumblebee. If this is true, it could be good news for those who are sick of the little guy.
