I just dont get why Bruticus Maximus is still updated in the age of Combiner Wars. I mean I grant you, 3 of the 5 are all new 3p at this point, but the two original Energon Molds are very dated by this point.

 

Because they have just as good articulation as anything in CW, the molds are fun, good, and I like the look of the regular Bruticus Maximus, let alone the FP version, which I love.

Really, you might as well be asking why we keep getting upgrade kits to G1 figures. They're 30 years old and people love them

Really? People are making upgrade kits to the upgrade kits of the upgrade kits of the bloody Energon Bruticus that was released what, 10 years ago - when we have not only a FoC Bruticus but now a real Generations one coming?
And I can't even get rid of this Crossfire upgrade set anywhere, complete waste of money... this was the set that convinced me to skup Third Party stuff in the future and rather wait for Hasbro to do its own.

 

Definitely in for this if it materialises.

 

I still hold a grudge to the first add on kit for making ROTF Bruticus impossuble to find in store and being massively overpriced on ebay. I would rarely say something like this but Imhope this set fails or at least doesn't further jackup Bruticus's price ( especially when we have Genrations Bruticus and FoC as well.)

 

I completely stopped caring about Vintage G-1 stuff the second Classics started. Pre-Classics, I was all about Energon/Armada/Cybertron look alikes and the commemorative Re-Issues. CHUG and Masterpiece made that kind of quaint... like collecting old magizines or something.


It's just weird because updating Bruticus Maximus is a continuation of "re purposing" which hasn't really been necessary in years.

 

I hope they release this soon and for the original colors. FP bruticus was my first third party figure that got me into the third party hobby. I sold Warbotron bruticus in preparation of this set to make me fall in love with my FP bruticus again

 

I still like this Bruticus the best by far. Im interested in this set if it works with the colors of the first FP version and ROTF Bruticus Maximus.

 

Lack of dedicated handguns for individual members is still an issue after this set is added.

I've come to love my leaner Bruticus over the years, and don't really have a desire for these outside perhaps the leg extensions. Still, good to see it's coming out.

 

When is the upgrade to improve this upgrade out?! That's what I wanna know!

 

I see so much hate for this set. Guys, I've worked with 3d modeling with blender. Its not easy. For Shadow Fisher to make a kit like this must have been torture. Its a good set that addresses issues that we all can agree on. Yes, its late but remember, the crazy devy team made mods for prediking some 20 years after release so this isn't too bad. Show some love for the work the did and remember what they had to work with, 5 deluxe combiners. Yes, a new onslaught and vortex would be nice but at this point, with CW Bruticus on the way, its too risky to try that. The Microblaze set for FOC Bruticus, had it come out after the CW Bruticus announcement, would probably be in the same situation.

 

If it doesn't fix the existing shit combiner connectors then there's no point. Also call me back when I can get some articulated hands that don't disintegrate by looking at them funny. Frankly I'd rather have someone make adapters to mix the FP figures onto the new CW stuff, at least so I won't have to deal with hasbro's brown Quickslinger

 

I could really use some of these parts. Wouldn't mind picking this up.
