Those photos (hopefully) aren't of the final product as evidenced by the pinless wheels on the adaptors.

Also notice that a few parts are installed incorrectly such as the DF hand adaptor being upside down and the elbow fillers being on the wrong sides.

Also, the photo of the two DF windscreens shows a Quarter Mile kit version and what appears to be a copy of the stock FP DF version.

What we're seeing is very likely the same pre production parts we saw a week'ish ago.

We'll let ya know when you can officially freak out.

Well July is almost over and still no new release update I'm getting close to thinking this will be like all the Colossus add-on sets that just never make it out.

So glad to see this, Eddie! Really looking forward to getting the kit in-hand. The video suggests the factory has finally gotten its act together on the colours - good to see. Any word on a potential release date, yet?

 

Cancelled my preorder but i'll be getting this when its in stock.

 

I actually almost sold my Intimidator this past weekend, but decided at the last minute not to.

Now, seeing how the set is progressing, I'm glad I haven't done that.

 

I just can't help but think----if they fix the gestalt insignia plate to be black, that they end up making DF's black as well----which I'm ok with. I'd prefer DF's to be yellow like it now is, but if they're molded on the same sprue etc----then black is by far the better choice. A small black insignia plate on DF looks much better than a big yellow one on M3.

 

Well, whenever this gets here, my m3 will look that much better...

 

Still looking forward to this. Love the changes to Downforce, and I forgot all about the Lambo spoiler, which for a such a simple addition really looks great. I might keep my previous Shadow Fisher arm fillers in place though.

Eddie, you show the translucent black canopy in the video, but wasn't there a solid black canopy in the kit too?

My ratches in the ankles haven't worn out yet. With the replacements though, is it still inevitable that even they will wear out?

 

Unfortunately not. Even if there was, I'm not sure I'd put much stock into it.  

They seem hell bent on making it NOT black despite our insistence. We suggested black originally, and they made it red and we said "No, it's supposed to be black.". So they do it again and change it to yellow. And again we tell them black and they said it'll be red. *throws hands in the air* So we're now in the process of seeing if we can get them to include an extra black one at the very least.

The solid black one was an earlier sample.

I'd say yes, it is inevitable if you are doing one or both of two things.

1. When posing Intimidators feet/ankles, you adjust the ratcheted joint as opposed to the ball joint that is supposed to be for gestalt use.

2. You transform Diesel back and forth between alt and torso mode often.

Basically, if you avoid moving the ratcheted joint, you'll be fine. But if those ratchets get a lot of use, they'll wear out eventually. It was poorly designed by FP.

 

Finally it's a good thing I didn't give up on this set it's looking great hopefully we will finally get it soon lol
