So I took leave of my senses and got on the wagon to play Warlords of Draenor, despite everyone yelling about it being shit, and have found it to be massively fun. I like the Garrison, I like the fact that Hellscream finally gets killed (though I think the killing blow should have come from Jaina Proudmoore), and focusing on the Draenei for me a personal bonus since I dig them.

So far my only bugbear is that the music playing against this (awesome) cinematic is not on the soundtrack I got, so if anyone knows where this music is being held hostage, I beg of you to share.

 

Blizzard sent me 7 free days. So, I was wonder, is it even possible to make enough money in 7 days to buy a WoW Token without having the Warlords of Draenor expansion? My highest level characters are a lvl 86 Druid and a lvl 84 Hunter. That's about it. And if not, would it be possible if I bought WoD?

Because I've been wanting to get back into a WoW for a while now. A few months ago, I even started a new character in the free version just to farm mats. Which I was planning to sell in the AH and save up enough gold to buy a WoW Token and unlock the rest of my characters. But apparently you can't even use the AH in the free version. So that plan went nowhere.

 

Well at 85 no, there isn't anything you could do. The most lucrative thing that you can do without the garrison is farm Cataclysm raids (25 Heroic in particular, which basically means you have a well-geared Lv.100 character), which you're very unlikely to be able to do.

 

New expansion is being announced at Gamescom next week.

Honestly I've been playing hard since near the end of Pandaria, logging on almost every day etc. WoD killed it for me about 2 weeks before 6.2, I just didn't want to play anymore. I wasn't excited for more Garrison stuff etc.
I still like the game, but even my friends re-subbing wasn't enough to bring me back, and I honestly don't miss it.
It's a shame as I amassed quite a few rare items and mounts. I'll probably venture back towards the release of the new xpac and see how that is, but it'll probably be a 2017 release anyways (unless the rumors of an annual short xpaks are finally happening).

 

If it takes them till 2017, it will be over 1 and a half years in the final raid instance we are currently in. That would be to big of a gap to even bring anyone back.

 

Yeah sorry I actually forgot about the movie and I'm sure it'll come out around that time.

Seriously though, I don't think a year and a half is out of the question; fucking SoO lasted forever  

 

I started my 7 free days today. I forgot how BORING this game is. I logged into my main and I'm totally lost. Don't know what quests to do. Don't know what the value of anything is in my bags. Don't even know what spells do or how to use them. I think I'm going to get some heirlooms and start a new character.

 

Next WoW is Legion. New hero class, Demon Hunter.


I really want to pick up a new PC so i can play WoW again.

The whole expansion is pandering to long time fans. No means a bad thing, it's just funny they're doing stuff people have been asking for for years, and we get it when subs drop to an all time low since launch  

I'll probably go back when the expansion is looming, I have a bunch of gold that should buy me a few months of time.

Demon hunter looks cool, but there's gonna be so many of them at level 100 already, all I can see are elves everywhere. I'll prob stick to my monk until they balance the class out.

Also it's about time PVP and PVE abilities where separated, maybe my monk can get some of that power back.

 

Awww man, the concentrations of salt on the WoW forums right now could season all the crisps in London.

 

I know, it's amazing! They're basically giving fans stuff they've been begging for, and now they're turning around and calling them unoriginal!  

I'm not fussed, it looks like a decent expansion and I'm glad we'll be taking on the Legion, I've wanted that for a while.
But yeah, Emerald Dream, Tomb of Sargeras, demon hunters, new PVP system, Ilidan.

I'm not excited, but I'm looking forward to it.

 

So how much is the 100lvl boost?

I ask because I'm gonna give this game another go, last time I played I was on level 3.

 

Ok so I took advantage of the sale and bought WOW and the Warlords dlc, now my guy is level 90.

So I try to start the Dungeon finder but it says that I don't meet the requirements, and my armor is 491 right now. So, what do I need to do?

Also is it possible for me to play other dungeons as well, if so how do I access them? Because they're all only showing me level 85-90 dungeons.

 

You have to start leveling through WoD if you wanna do some of the WoD dungeons.

To be honest, 90-100 is a breeze via questing, and it's also one of the most fun leveling experiences I've had in the game. You'll get some gear fairly early from quests, once you have your garrison set up I think you can start going through the Dungeons.

Did you boost your guy? and what class is so? Might be able to help with your rotation or something if you need it

 

Not sure what the minimum gear level for dungeon finder think its 500.

To play dungeons lower than 85 you need to find the entrance itself.

Higher than 90 you need to get your level higher and get your gear level higher (for dungeon finder) or go find the entrance itself (some dungeons you can be a level less than DF minimum level) <- hopefully that makes sense.

So if I find the dungeon in game will I just do it solo or will it que me for that dungeon with others?

Get yourself to 100 and off to tanaan jungle asap. can get gear there that can be either ilvl 650 or proc up to 695 with intivals of 5 ilvls. if you need help with the rotation or what you need gear wise, best talents, glyphs etc, try Icy Veins - WoW/Hearthstone/D3/Heroes News and Guides

 

So is getting Warlords and WOW for 17.50 a good deal?

 

You could always ask in the city to join up an say you need to go by foot. When you enter you'll be in then goup. Sadly it doesnt queue you up if you go solo.

I plan to pick up a new computer next year so i can start playing again.

I think its a really good deal.
