Finally official smokescreen kreon

 

It should likely be around $60.

 

Does anyone know if these are going to be sold individually anywhere? I don't really want to buy a case of them.

 

After reading some how-to guides, I made Megatron a cloak out of old newsprint paper and matte medium. Turned out handsomely:

You should scratch off one of his eyes with a penny, darken the whole right side of his head, and put an insecticon decal on his helmet

 

I've only seen them sold as a case. I do have an extra Prowl that I don't need.

 

Now that I got the hang of cape-making, I made one for Alpha Trion:

Still newsprint paper (with paint obviously), but a coat of acrylic matte medium gives it a more plastic-like quality. Might not survive a child's playtime, but for display it's marvelous. Kind of a shame not many Transformers --much less ones I have Kreons of-- have cloaks/capes/whatnot.

That's a bit too far from what I'm willing to do (and I think Meg's actual eye still functions in the film, it's everything else that's busted), but I rather like that insecticon idea. It'd have to be an insanely small decal, though.

For those with the Class of 1985 set, can anyone confirm that Topspin's gun is the same white, scopeless, pistol as the ones included with Beachcomber & Seaspray from the same set?

Additionally, does anyone know any other Kre-o/Kreon releases that include that same gun in white (Transformer or otherwise)?

I opened my '85 set today and Topspin's gun apparently fell or shot out of the bubble during the process (I only vaguely recall it, pretty sure it was white like the others,it was gone by the time I got to Topspin so just want to be sure I'm not misremembering) and I'm not having any luck finding it. Maybe it'll turn up, but I'm hoping there's some alternative somewhere in case it doesn't.

(Two straight years that I lost a weapon from one of the Kreon sets; I'm not enjoying these things being crammed into the bubbles despite each half of each set coming with that additional clear plastic sheet that covers everything.)

Class of 85 set is on Hasbrotoyshop right now. The site is lagging badly from people ordering other SDCC exclusives though.

 

got both SDCC Kre-o sets off HTS no problems.

 

Never tried contacting Hasbro directly before. What outlet would I use, if I tried them?

Lbsammills51 - I contacted Hasbro about my RTS Wreck-Gar's missing weapon. The e-mail people didn't do anything for me, since they were out of him and didn't have a replacement. Their suggestion was I send them my hard to find figure, and they send me an unspecified figure of equal value, which may be one I already have, which was no good. The phone people at least gave me a $3 gift certificate. So, I'd recommend the phone number on the back of most TF packages.

I'd also recommend checking the parts list that come at the end of most Kre-o instructions. There should be pictures of each part, with a part number. If you can say, "I'm missing part #123456 in white", that may be helpful.

Worst case scenario is you send the entire set back, and they send you a whole new one. They probably won't want to pay the shipping on that, so they'll try to figure something else out.
