This is where that person said his part broke. And it isn't paper thin.

I wouldn't call it a QC issue. More like user error or bad design. It could be made better if it was metal instead of plastic or if the plastic was a "full cylinder" instead of a cylinder with that little indent/groove.

Glad to hear those who ordered from Toy Dojo are getting theirs shipped out today.

 

Transformation to bug mode requires that launcher to be folded all the way to the back of his head and I admit I was not careful when doing that! That pivot was pretty tight on mine that I may have used too much force to move it causing the stress mark on that indent and eventually broke off on mine.

I didn't mean to put off people from buying the set, I was just pissed off that that happened, but I would be very careful when pivoting that launcher. I agree that it was a bad design choice on Badcubes part and that they should have made it a full cylinder without the indent, or made the pivot looser.

 

We have released the swarm! The Badcube Evil Bug Corps are shipping out to preorder customers today. We have some additional stock as well for late comers.

 

Oh, really? Sigh. Two weeks to go, then.

Just checked in with Kapow, and it's definitely another couple of weeks. No matter, I still have G2 'Bee and MP Black Rodimus coming soon.  

 

Hope you picked up some replacement knees for Rodimus. great color scheme, but those knees will break if you try to transform him.

I picked up the diecast replacements which really do nicely (replaced the 2 washers I'd epoxied on the broken knee joints).

 

I haven't yet, although I'm aware of the issue. I've checked out those metal knee parts before. Shame they're not the same colour as the originals though. Thanks for the note.  

 

ok, maybe I'll hold off until after Monster Mania Con (August) is over before I pull the trigger

 

sry if this has been asked before but as of now what does the badcube version do better than the other offerings?
