Ironhide's always been that squat and wide in the movies, though. He may lack a bit in height (at least compared to the likes of Prime and Megatron), but he still packs a lot of firepower. It's just that his movie toys tend to be more lanky than his CGI design (the Leader figure is especially tall with overly long legs). I believe the HFTD Deluxe figure has the closest representation as far as accuracy goes (and can still transform).

Same here. If I had the means, I'd dedicate an entire hall or wing of my McMansion just for my movieverse collection. :D

I'll just have to be content with my custom painted HasTak figures. If 3A/ThreeZero does make an articulated Ironhide, that'd be bought right quick though.

Yeah, he looks great doesn't he. I wish we could get something as perfect as these at a much, much smaller scale, even though they'd still be ridiculously expensive!

I never noticed the star shape on the nose. People may complain about this design but I hope in contrast they appreciate how much simpler they became by AoE.

IH's face always did remind me of a bulldog's or a bull terrier's. Once he bites, he never lets go. :D

I never realized Ironhide was a dwarf...

Every time I see that Lockdown or Galvatron model I can't help but laugh and shake my head at how ridiculous the notion it is that either one of those figures can become a vehicle. Even the AoE Optimus figure is pretty bad in that category.

How tall is Ironhide? 2ft? Look really cool. If it had some articulation, I would be into it, but I'm just not a statue guy. I'm in for 3A as it has many points of articulation and looks almost as cool.

Whoa, imagine if they got the license for AOE and made Lockdown!

After the first two films, of course ;-)

Mmmmm... Bikini Warriors and Lockdown's butt in the same photo...

Ahem. Lockdown looks nice. But, man. Never realized how strange looking Ironhide's design was.
Too bad I don't have the cash for these things...

    Tell me about it!
I'm actually kind of surprised at myself for just how
much I'm dwelling on all of this stuff, wondering if/hoping
3A will do this or get the license for that, etc.. lol
I mean, they MUST see all our raving comments and take
    that to heart, right? :)
Sorry, btw...just chiming in on your reply to someone else.:)

I know right? Back when they actually had car parts attached to the bot modes like a real Transformer (I'm not being sarcastic in the least. I actually prefer the kibble of the first movie).

Lockdown carried an otherwise below par AoE, in my opinion.

His bounter hunter image was über cool whereas Galvatron, Stinger and the concept of Transformium was just... well... not my thing...

I'm soooo curious who these are for. I want to meet the human beings who are purchasing these. Like, maybe there are some wealthy faux nerds who buy the optimus because they don't know what to do with their money, but who's buying Lockdown?

If I had the disposable income, sure, I'd be there. But to call what these cost, collectively, disposable income? So disposable that I can spend it on some statues and still enjoy other things? I would have to be pretty fuckin wealthy

You talking about 3A right? I've seen a prototype in grey scale and it was shown with the 3A Optimus that had A LOONG way to go compared to their prototype now.

On point though; Ironhidw looks dope as hell! But if i had the extra money I would definitely buy the AOE Ultimate edition Optimus Prime. Now THAT looks SICK!! It comes with regular arms and gauntlet / knight arms, he has his blade that slides out like ROTF for some reason, his vector shield (Sentinels gun shield), his blade, his ion cannon the eliminator! And he can be posed with his arms crossed holding his sword while its tip is in the ground, ala the cover of AOE DVD, or out to.his sides. He has 3 sets of hand options and a non battle mask head and I believe one with a faceplate too WITB A SEPERATE STAND TO.PUT IT ON! If that wasn't enough it.has a head that will turn / articulate and looks like it tilts as well maybe. All for 2000 with the stand. I think its 20 inches as well.

    Now THAT would be my
Ideal prime to display. And I.love how these statues have some articulation like the grimlock and prime statue has arm movement and head movement as well.

The more I think.about it I may actually.try to.get that ultimate edition aoe prime if it comes out in a year. I'd have to hustle around a little less then 170 a month towards it. Probably.180.a month for it with shipping. I'd like to know more about.it though
