Can't wait for these to be released at online stores. I haven't gotten any Transformers related merchandise since Apollyon and MP Thundercracker in late April/early May. I've been fiddling with Brawny a lot lately and it kinda set in that the same person designed these and I immediately got about ten times more excited for them!

I haven't posted for a long time but I got my Badcube Insecticons yesterday and I feel I have to give a QC alert on my Badcube Bombshell because his horn broke off from his robot head on mine! It didn't just snap off but the more I pivot the head gun back and fourth when transforming, the more its was causing stress marks on that that skinny thin section of his gun pole and eventually just broke off! I would be careful when pivoting his gun on his head because that part looks paper thin when you look at the pictures. In the end, pretty disappointed with Badcube on this and hope it is just an isolated QC issue on mine and I hope get a replacement from them!

 

Looks like an easy enough fix. Shouldn't be a problem for them to send you that little piece to replace. Or a new head.

 

So where did the people who have them in hand pick them up from? I don't think they're shipping from online retailers yet or am I wrong?

 

I think Toy Dojo will start to ship out Monday. I think they got there shipment in.

Other retailers won't have these in stock for another 2 weeks.

Ouch. The new in hand pics have not done them any favours for me. They look too squat and dumpy when stood with MP's. There's a 'robot heros' vibe about them.

Sunday morning breakfast take over

 

I picked my set up at TFCon. I really like them.

 

Ages3andUp had them at TFcon. They had an exclusive deal with BadCube to be the only sellers of them there. They were being sold for 220CAD or roughly $169 USD, so at a discounted price from retail.

I'm surprised they didn't sell more at that price. I think they're a fun set and at $169, a great value. The box is really nice too. It is constructed and feels like the iPhone/iPad/MacBook Air boxes and is hefty.

I spent more time posing and transforming these guys over the weekend and I seriously love the shit outa these figures. Their look has so much personality especially with the swappable faces. I don't have any QC issues except that shrapnel's fists will leave their forearm housing for robot mode a bit easily, but you can rotate the transformation joint within the forearm to be at an angle and provide more friction inside. I might add a little glue too.

I took a look at the fanstoys versions while these were on my desk, and they looked so boring in comparison. I think it might be since these Badcube versions are so weird with their proportions that it makes the others just look more like regular robots that are a bit generic. Faces on the FT versions look dull too. Anyway, I love the weight and quality of these. Btw these are in my CHURG collection, along with the Fp and official hastak insecticons. These being the biggest really makes it feel like they are the progenitors of all the others.

Final words to those who will purchase this, some joints are extremely tight, even on the guns. Watch transformation video reviews and apply pressure in the safest way when moving parts. I am extra careful normally but will have to remember not to think I can transform these fast while drinking or something. I got them from a3u as well. Finally us Canadians get something special before anyone else haha.

 

I gotta agree with this, these guys just look more interesting and fun to mess around with. I look at Fanstoys' Insecticons and while they look good, they lack that feeling of just wanting to pose them around mess around with them. That's my feeling of them.
