Gotta say, the more I look at Victorion the more I like her. I still think a bit more of a third neutral color (silver or white) would help, but the massive amount of red doesn't bother me as much as it first did.

I also had been disappointed they didn't use the Dragstrip mold (partly because of its connection to the female Animated Dragstrip, but mostly because it's going to end up being the most underused CW mold... as a side note, I'm still hoping that that's the one that might get the Lightspeed treatment one day, not the Wheeljack remold as some are predicting). But I do like the remolded chest plates the cars here get.

Anyhow, I think I've mostly come around on Victorion.

 

I still blame the fact the poll was so confusing we ended up with two Helicopter twins.

 

Have they said when this is going to be released, or who will be selling it?

 

They said this would be an online exclusive to retailers like TFSource and BigBadToyStore, and it will come out in early 2016.

They look feminine the same way Strongarm looks feminine. Not to mention that not all women have the same body type as Arcee, Windblade, and Chromia.

While I agree Drag Strip has been underused (though I suppose the question is how many F1 racers are there in the current roster), Wheeljack seems destined with that chest plate and overall tooling.

Heck, even Rook seems to have been left to stand alone. I know people think he'd be the top candidate for Nosecone...but I still think that honor will end up going to Brawl. Though I suppose Rook could get some new paint and a head to become the replacement Technobot if they can't make Afterburner a deluxe.

I have said before, but again seeing this in person....she is AMAZING. for some reasons the colors do NOT translate well in photos.

Her introduction in the one shot Combiner Hunters was a lot of fun. The "twins" are actually my favorite part of the team. On Victorian they are BAD ASS!

I'm really looking forward to getting her in hand!

 

I would say of all the repaints/retools...Rook to Swindle is so extensive that I personally classify it as something entirely different. At first blush, you wouldn't realize those are based on the same starting frame. Even Onslaught, despite the changes, still looks like Hot Spot in reverse.

If they wanted to, they could put a new head on Rook and change the colors to create a replacement team-member in a pinch. He'd fit in well with the Technobots if they needed another limb.

 

Things I like:

All Female combiner team.

The fact that their weapons all combine into a awesome looking sword for the combined mode.

The color scheme.

Things I hate:

The fact that they reused the same mold for two different characters in the same set. I don't mind them reuseing Alpha Bravo's mold for other combiner sets. Blades, Vortex, and one of the Fembots would of been fine, but reusing the mold for TWO Fembots just no. Every limb should have a different mold. There should never be a reuse of a mold on the same team. You don't have to make a new one but at least reuse one that isn't already on the team. Especially given they have matching color schemes the only way you can tell them apart is the head sculpt and mirrored chest details. Other than that it looks like you're getting two of the exact same toy. Get rid of one of those Alpha Bravo molds and replace it with another limb bot who hasn't already been used in this set.

The fact that the hands and feet are not self contained within the figures though that's a problem of the entire toy line not just this set.

The fact that I have no idea who any of these characters are suppose to be. Though, new characters aren't necessarily a bad thing. Windblade worked out really well. The difference is Windblade was a brand new mold where as these fembots are all generic repaints. I'd be a lot more interested in the repaints if I knew who these characters were. The only one who looks even remotely like she's based on an existing character is one of them seems to have the head sculpt based on Nightbird's design. Nightbird (G1) - Transformers Wiki Being that she's the only recognizable one, I'm surprised they didn't use her color scheme.

 

Maybe she will be in the machima online show ???

 

I really wanted to like this, I really did.

The colors are too migraine inducing for me to pick up. A better mix of colors and Yes I wouldve preordered.

I still might but Ill have to get past the garish colors first.

Pyra Magna is the leader. Considering she transforms into a fire truck I really like that name for her.

Stormclash and Skyburst are the twin Helicopters. Skyburst actually has a little bit more red on her than Stormclash but seriously these two are so similar they might as well be the same figure. Make Stormclash a jet because two helicopters on the same team with the same colors is just stupid. They even have the same weapon.

Dustup is the one with the Nightbird head mold... Why did they design her to look like Nightbird if she's not Nightbird?

Jumpstream is the other car and looks like she could be Windblade's sister. Again similar head scults but being that she's not a flyer I'm not quite as upset with the lack of reusing the same name here.

Rust Dust is the little motorcycle... which I only just realized that considering these are all fembots that means that Rust Dust transforms into Victorion's bra.

All of the people complaining about twin helicopters realize it was a fan poll right? So...like...that's what we told Hasbro to do. Hasbro probably could've run the vote better, but at the same time this is our fault.

 

I don't think "use two of the same mold with the same colors" was ever an option on the poll. I'm pretty sure that was their decision as no one would ever vote for that.

 

So that part where the fans voted for the four limb alt modes was just a figment of my imagination?

I think given the choices, there was always going to be two of the same mold. If not Alpha Bravo, then another mold.

 

Well how did they actually do the poll? Were there four different polls, one for each limb? In which case people probably voted for the same mold in two different polls not even realizing it. If that is the case then it's still Hasbro's fault because the mold should not have been listed twice. Or did they list all the Deluxe molds in one poll in which case they would have to take the top four highest votes. With one mold being repeated that means they only took the top three votes.

No one would intentionally vote for this so Hasbro would of had to rig the poll some how so that one mold would have always been used twice, if not Alpha Bravo, it would of been a different mold.

 

Well it's not my fault because I don't own a smartphone and couldn't participate in the fan poll because the phone app is literally the only way to vote.

 

Same here. Also, I had no clue when the poll even was or how to get to it.   They should put that stuff on the web site where it's easy to access on the computer instead of making a smart phone app that few people even have access to.
