Sorry to hear that, I'm actually on level 27 thanks to a Helmet I got from an Exotic Engram I bought from Xur. Leave it to Destiny to let me get a friggin Exotic Helmet before getting ANY Stat changing Legendary gear... At least now I look like Daft Punk. Oh yeah I got a question what's up with Destiny and the Gjallarhorn?
Level 23-25 were, by far, the slowest slog for me. Like said previously, grind strikes or Crucible (even losses!) for Marks, and cash them in for faction gear. And start running the Weekly and Nightfall with others as soon as you can. Plus the Wolf Strikes. As soon as you crest ~27, you'll start growing again, getting more Exotic and Legendary drops. Getting into a good clan helps, too. I got into a great one, specifically for fathers, and in 2 weeks have hammered out VoG on hard, Crota on Normal and Hard - multiple times each, and gotten my Warlock to 34 and my Titan and Hunter from mid-20s to 32 each. I only have Skolas left for my Moments of Triumph. MOST of Destiny you can Solo, but end-game stuff, you pretty much HAVE to have a good group for. Unless you're this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMUBPo8cwo4
Surely you must have enough Vanguard marks for some legendary armour by now? You only need 75 for anything besides helmets. Gjallarhorn is the best PvE heavy in the game by a large margin. It deals the most damage and has the best perks and stats. High Velocity, High blast Radius, hidden proximity perk, tracking, once it explodes smaller explosive rounds appear that also track...yeah it's a beast. The wolfpack rounds are getting a damage reduction in the 2.0 update, that makes some people annoyed for whatever reason. Still going to be the best launcher in the game that we currently know about.
Dat Ghorn gets even better when you have enuf in your bank to dual wield them, mwhahahhaha. But fyi to anyone that bought those Nepal Shirts, they getting to peoples now.
I don't have enough limbs to hold the amount of Gjallarhorns that I have. Yeah I got my shipping conformation the other day; said that they shader and emblem would appear sometime in summer.
Ha, I'm not even Rank 2 in either Crucible or vanguard yet. Let alone having enough marks. But I got about 100 marks for crucible though so I'll try on that end. And damn that Rocket Lawnchair sounds like beast. There's just one thing I want Destiny to do that Halo did well. Destiny the Graphic Novel! Destiny the Action figures! Destiny the Props! Destiny the Novel! Destiny the animation! Destiny the live action mini movie! And my personal favorite, Destiny the doll.
No Customs, we need some real official figures. But not from NECA, I could throw my Iphone against a wall and it could stay unbroken more then they're figures do.
Well, as far as customs go, I do like that they're unique to match the appearance of my character. Retail figures would probably have set armor combos, unless the armor is swappable.
Some Sqaure Enix Guardians would be pretty badass. Only problem with things like Destiny figures is that you would want your own Guardian; which is likely to never happen. Unless they made you pay a considerable amount and had you choose the armour in your pre-order and then they make it.
I would find it hilarious if they selled Engrams with random Armor and Weapons to swap on your guy. Perhaps that could make figures of the three Vanguards or that Crucible Titan, and some regular enemies to start with. Then just to see what would happen, make a fans choice figure with polls on what class, Gender, Race, and weapon it comes with. Probably just gonna be the Gjallerhorn though.
Indeed they could, and there's enough vehicles in Destiny to make a decent and variable line out of. I'd totally buy Destiny Blind bags. Also some of those ships. If Mega Bloks was smart they'd do this. I mean tgey already made a deal with Bungie for Halo, it could happen and they'd make a killing!
This is why we need a Guardian "Starter Set". You buy the "base" body, ie you choose a pack that is something like "Warlock Male Starter Kit" and that pack comes with a Warlock styled body, starter armor, starter weapons and a Ghost. The kit has different face options (you really only see your characters head, so unarmored hands or anything else are unnecessary), as well as eyes and hair all in a variety of colors. Same for the Titan and Hunter kits. After you bought one of these "starter kits" and built your character, you would have different ways of upgrading them. You could buy Raid Sets that had weapon and armor kits in them, or you could buy blind packs. These blind packs would be little plastic containers shaped like engrams and they'd be sold in boxes designed to look like in game chests. These "engrams" would contain things like weapons, armor pieces, class items, Ghosts, etc. Then, of course, you'd have NPC toys such Fallen Dregs, Shanks, Vandals, Captains, Scorch Captains, etc. Then you'd have Bosses, Raid Bosses, maybe make some figures like Xur and The Stranger into Build-a-Figures. You'd also have Vehicles like Sparrows, Pikes, Heavy Pikes and Interceptors. They could even have a "points" system they way certain toy companies use to do, you could have codes that come with the toys and each code could unlock online Strange Coins for you to buy more stuff with, maybe items like Exotic Heavy Weapon Engrams, Exotic Helmet Engrams for your figure or possibly even in game shaders/emblems your game character(s). By the way, when I imagine these figures, I'm imagining high quality, durable figures that have great articulation. I see the armor "pieces" most likely being actual arms and legs, so the figures keep the articulation and things like the Warlock Chest Armor, Hunter Cloaks and Titan Marks all being made of Cloth or cloth like material. I also see them coming with effect pieces, such as the Warlock "light" that he channels into his palm in his menu/loading screen appearance, charging nova bomb, the Titan having little blue "arc splashes" that go over his hands to make it look like he's about to unleash his Fists of Havoc, Hunter having a Golden Gun and Glowing Arc Blade, etc etc. Probably never going to happen, not in a million years, but it would be nice. TL,DR: Crazy guy going into crazy detail about crazy toys with crazy options that would probably cost a crazy price and will most likely never ever happen.
Would love for it to happen, but it never will. To have them at the level that we want they would be rather pricey and most likely not sold everywhere. I also don't think that the demand for Destiny figures, especially not expensive ones, is large enough to bother with it.
