Glad you like it, man! The parts you're referring to were made from some thin square styrene strips. I sanded them down into sharper points and tried to make them more round. Then I just glued them in place after cutting some areas out to allow them to fit. I trimmed a bit on top of the chest/shoulder area so the head can now transform and fit perfectly.

Still working on him in between other projects and a few commissions. I finished up the shoulders/smokestack areas you saw in my last pics. The smokestacks transform without the need to remove them. The head is pretty much done. I started some thin coats of paint on it last night as a matter of fact. I just need to do a ball joint for the head (just had the head tacked on in the shots you saw). I'm also considering doing some work to the actual faceplate to make it look a bit more full, just not sure yet. I'll get some new WIP on it up soon, hopefully.

This is one of those long projects that I'd like to finish up sometime soon.

Just a quick update on this before work.

Since you last saw this lovely little WIP, I've added the following:

    • New smokestacks from iGear PP01 (thanks Ninos!) - built some shoulder mounts for it so that it rotates in place without need for removal.
    • Completely revamped the custom G1 Prime blaster I was building. I added length using styrene tubing, then details using styrene sheets (grooved) & styrene rods. It's a mix of the G1 Prime blaster, G1 Ultra Magnus blaster, & styrene love.
    • Added hinges to the waist to bulk it up & make it look more G1. Used Dubro airplane hinges, with styrene sheet over them, cut & sanded as needed, then detailed with more thin styrene sheet.
    • Added new hands thanks to WFC Cliffjumper. Had these on my Megatron WIP, but since Hegemon will be on his way to me soon, I amputated & reused them. (Megs is now destined for a Super Megatron custom at some point).

Up next on the list is to add styrene sheet (cut & shaped as needed) to the sides of Prime's hips to help bulk up the waist a bit more. Then, ball joint the head & start work on the chest. The chest will feature a Matrix chamber (thanks to Ninos for an extra iGear PP01 Matrix!) & I will be scratchbuilding a new chest/cab front that will be hinged & open to reveal it. I'll be adding some WIP shots where I've been testing this idea on an extra junker Classics Prime (which will hopefully become Soundwave, thanks to chansformers & his awesome Soundwave from the 2-pack Classics Prime). And last, I may (or may not) ball joint the feet. My hesitation on it is due to the fact that it would increase his height a bit & I'm not sure if it would look good or not. May do some testing on the junker first, just not sure on this though.

Nice work Brian! That's definitely the Prime head I had in mind that I have on commission from you! The stacks, the shin guards and blaster really top it off nicely!

Let me know what's up with the Galvy parts as well. At this point, I'd take the Prime head, Galvy head and whatever parts you already have made, just so I can get started on my projects. Let me know my friend, thanks!

Hey Jason, I'll PM you later tonight or tomorrow!

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen! Really hoping to make this a true "classic" Prime.
