With something this massive, I agree and I disagree. Maybe some small shades to trick the eye , like paneling each tape in two or other sections. But this is so nice. Great job
Gonna take some advice from you guys and add a bit of texture and differential detailing with some of the spare COD MB parts laying around. Will continue to update. Thanks for the continued positive feedback!
Out of curiosity what did you use to make the second level, and that claw looking thing that is behind the bots?
The second level is the spicy rack painted gray. Bought it at walmart. The claw(scanner, whatchamacallit, lol) I made from a halo stand and a plastic reel from the inside of the VHS, the claw parts are also from inside as well. I tried to recycle as much as possible. I have a bin full of VHS parts to fiddle around with while I have some time.
It is a Very well done piece and i love that you used the strangest things to create such an amazing result
Sooo...nice.....!! I think using VHS tapes is ingenious, and the design allowing MP10's trailer to park there is incredibly smart. Don't mind if I steal that idea someday ;-)
Do you think you could fit a multitude of smaller CHUG deluxes in there? I reckon it looks pretty neat.
I have to look for one of those spice racks. This idea for a display base is way too cool to not try.
I realize you probably have a reason, but why didn't you spraypaint it "Autobot Orange"? Is it because this is a human built facility created to aid the Autobots? Very cool stuff here, regardless of the colour. Good Job!
To be honest, wasn't really too concerned about the Autobot color, as it's always appeared more red than orange to me.
