Im starting to think that same myself. Im not usually a a 3P fan but this guy is pretty much bag on and Im getting rather sick of TT dragging their feet on MP Decepticons.

 

I like to think mine is an upgraded Shockwave now called Shockblast ala the naming convention of Soundwave/Soundblaster.

I also love the fuck out of this dude. Love the shade of gray.

why is the rerelease image so dark?

 

A lot of people are asking this question. We won't really know until Dalianjj provides confirmation as to whether the reissue is exactly like the original or if it's going to be darker like the image.

Personally, I'm waiting to buy (toon vs toy) until we know for sure. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to find out.

Either way, I'm going to purchase one of them. I just want to make sure I'm informed before I do.

 

Yeah I had word on this earlier, should be stocking all three!

 

Out of interest, what's so appealing about the clear version? I don't get it.

the re-saleabilty to its limitedness, mostly. That and I guess its a shout out to the prototypes they destroyed back when the first one came out, but mostly resaleability.

 

I'm personally a big fan of transparent toys, love that they glow in the light. Plus the candy thing

 

Toon/toy accuracy aside, which I don't solely base my purchases on, I chose the clear one because I just thought it looked cool. (I was never a huge fan of the original G1 color anyway and prefer Shockwave in grey or black). Plus, should Takara ever release an official MP, I'll still have something that looks distinct.

 

I like transparent lingerie. I prefer an opaque Shockwave.

Oh yea! I've been so angry and jealous of all you quakewave owners. Now I can stop cursing you guys out and be nice.

 

Captured Prey is very quiet on this one. I find that interesting, since they were one of the biggest promoters of the original Quake.

 

Sidecutters been busy. If you haven't noticed he doesn't have Forager up yet either. I'm sure as soon as he can he'll get the pre orders up. At this point though I doubt he'll get any FT-03C's however, all though you never know.
