How do I get the Adams costume? Oh yeah, I keep meaning to ask this, but where do I go to play the Scarecrow Nightmare missions? I went under the menu where the Harley and Red Hood stuff are, but they're not there.
I got the premium edition for the pc and I have no clue on when I'm going to get the stuff. Seeing that they are delaying everything until the game actually works. It is good that they are doing what they should have done 6 months ago. But I feel left out on things.
I played the Harley Quinn DLC today after putting it off. One aspect I've really been intrigued by is how she was in Arkham Origins. Harleen, anyway. She was just another scientist, kind of shy, didn't have a lot of friends, seemed primarily concerned with work. The fact that Joker changed her into, well, a screeching psychopath is interesting. And I sort of got that vibe from playing this, particularly with her "not detective vision". But it's over way too quickly. It felt like a demo to me. And it annoys me because there feels like their could be a real interesting game about her. Maybe some kind of psychological horror game or something, of Harleen maybe trying to get back out.
ugh, i dont know why i am having so much trouble just FINDING the Batgirl DLC but I dont see it anywheres and thus havent been able to play it yet :T
My favourite part of that whole think was the inner dialogue between Halreen and Harley. Would really love that to get expanded on.
Yeah. I dont think my game was registering that I had purchased the season pass or something, but i've finally managed to find it. Now to downlooooooooad [3.5 gigs? sheesh]
Yeah I would LOVE it if any of the future DLC gets to do more Harley Quinn related stuff that does this exact thing.
Alright! Batgirl downloaded and played There's a lot to like here but ultimately it ends up feeling hollow like all the other story DLC's in the Arkham series. I LOVE the setting. Batgirl getting this WHOLE new area to play in is pretty impressive [and fun!] but the story is where it all falls apart. I really do like the idea of episodic story stuff that it APPEARS to be what they're trying to achieve with these [and this dates back to the Arkham City/Origins stuff too] but there just never feels like there's any weight to the story. Not a very satisfying conclusion. The idea of taking some short DLC and making like an episode of the Animated Series out of it is GENIUS but its something they always seem to just not quite get right. It just kind of ends in a deflated feeling way and then its just over. No real payoff. The stakes are never played up to be very high. It just lacks drama. So... the DLC is fun. But its just like all the other DLC in this series; Just kinda falling flat. Spoiler I loved Joker jumping off and opening up a parachute though. That just felt so good to see. So Joker! haha GREAT to see the 89 Batmobile coming up in DLC, though! Sounds like its only gonna be available on some AR racing tracks, though, and not something you'd be able to use in the story. Which is a shame, but I suppose its understandable what with that darn tank mode having to be something the Batmobile can do. They could fudge a tank mode out of it but yeah.. I dont see that really happening. But maybe I could be wrong. THERE BETTER BE A TAS BATMOBILE
Out of the Batmobiles not showen I like to see the animated series, Adam west (we got a skin but let's get the actual car), the dark knight returns for some tank battle challenges I can't imagine that thing being fast, and I would like to see the tumbler but for some reason the Arkham series advoids Nolan series stuff.
That's how I feel about it. I wish there was less focus on combat and so,e actual story telling going on. Being a detective, exploration, all feel missing from the dlc.
I would have liked this DLC to be at least an hour longer. It was fun playing a Batgirl. With the collectable search added in, I spent a little over 90 minutes with the game. I agree that the story could have been meatier, with a better conclusion, though the final cutscene was fairly good for the most part. I give the expansion a 6.5/10 overall. It was a hell of a lot better than the Harley Quinn and Red Hood chapters.
Playing as Babs was so much fun and seeing her boss Tim around. It had a good length to it, exceedingly better than the Harley and Red Hood DLC's time wise. The ending was my overall favorite part. You actually got to Spoiler Harley and Joker and it was just such a delight to see Harley in her original costume. Definitely. More Harley Quinn themed DLC's would be amazing.
So I guess it wasn't the real Spoiler Black Mask in the Red Hood DLC. I had my theories. So the Batgirl DLC looks fun. I just wish it had some more villains. Like, Killer Croc as a show attraction. Or Great White Shark.
