So, it was Saturday night and my girlfriend and I were about to head to dinner. She went to the basement to check on the laundry when I check the TFW2005.com site on my phone. All she heard was an emphatic "FUUUUUUUUCK YEEEEEEES!!!" from the upstairs! I started screaming WRECKERS 2!!! WRECKERS 2!!! NICK ROCHE!!!! YES!!

    That is all.

This. I loved the fact that LSOTW used second-stringer red shirts that built them up into characters you actually cared about. Ironfist/Fisitron being the prime example. I wanted to see more of his past relationships brought to light, such as his apprenticeship under Wheeljack (maybe they can show some flashbacks or something).

Pyro's sacrifice was good too, as were the Jumpstarter Twins. Rotorstorm getting killed early on was brutal, but his cocky arrogance woulda made Whirl proud. I liked that Roche also showed the violent side of the fights too. Wars aren't pretty, and death is often quick, sudden, and pointless (just like in real life) despite how glorious we would like to imagine the deaths of our heroes to be if they had to go out.

Actually I believe he was never anything more than a disappointment to Whirl based on the prose stories included with the trade.

Well, since this is a discussion forum and not a "we worship <insert favorite author> faniste" I'm afraid that I have to disagree about this being awesome..

This will be yet another dive into human mental problems clad in tinfoil robots from James Roberts twisted mind...

For some reason people go fangirl over his writing and I can't understand it, but otoh I can't understand why people watch splatter gore horror movies either.

If anything Nick Roche probably has a good influence on his writing since LSOTW was slightly less annoying than MTMTE

Not to mention that I didnt buy the collected version and I have become aware (people keep mentioning things that flat aint in the original separate issues) that it was a mistake since it seems that it was shockfull of stuff that helps understanding WTF JB wanted to convey in LSOTW.

And if he actually writes everything IN the comics this time I'll be Happy!
The reason I usually avoid collections is that compared to the single issues they are usually not complete, but it seems IDW does it different from Marvel and DC...

They don't need to. There are other ways he could bust out of prison.

You don't have to like it. Go back and read your McCarthy and Costa Transformers books. Leave the Roche and Roberts books to the rest of us.

The Wreckers: we're like The Expendables and the Suicide Squad except even more messed up and tragic.

I'm not sure why you think inclusion in a Wreckers comic entitles Hubcap to "some love". More likely, he will die horribly as a result.

Shame, that. Luckily Rotorstorm is too dead to know or care. :D

Hopefully, the news announcement of another Wreckers comic run will inspire more 3P to give us the missing Wreckers in toy format.

Why would this be anything to do with James...when he's not writing it. Nickles is. I could see James proofing maybe but...yeah, any human mental issues mentioned here are going to be from Nick. Not James. Because James isn't writing this.

Why would you think that's Unicron when the silhouette barely resembles him? It's very clearly Bludgeon, especially with the other cover for Redemption straight-up showing his face.

And Slag's not kneeling in dino-mode.

The image was dark. I didn't see Slag was in robot mode at first.

It's not because that's Bludgeon, not Unicron.

I mean, you could've offered your opinion in a non-condescending way that would've made those of an opposite view continue it, but I mean hey whatever.

Which is funny, because the Transformers have always been essentially mentally damaged humans in robot suits since G1. Just read those original tech specs.

But I guess if they're not drinking oil or usuing increidbly clunky, unnatural dialogue to convey simple sentiments then they're not robot enough?

Every once in a while you remind me why I love you.

Also, I'm not holding any hope for Unicron being handled in a way that isn't terrible.

    And the bad part is...?

Let me see if I understand this. You don´t like it (perfectly fine), but you are going to read, just so you can bitch about it? I do´t like being kicked in the nuts, but I am not going looking for people to kick me in the nuts, just so I can tell how I don´t like it. It´s just..silly.
