Which dinobot set is best to work in my classics collection im looking for voyager/deluxes I was looking a fp but I need to see snarl to jump aboard
I find FP fits the Classics aesthetic the best. That's what I'm going with. I was considering Toyworld but the designs are too greebly and slavish to G1 for my liking and they gimped the set right off the bat by forcing in a combining feature. Planet X is ok but I don't care for FOC stuff.
For my classic collection, I use Hasbro fall of Cybertron grimlock, toyworld muddy and roar (not sludge and not snarl).
The Planet X figures appear to be the nicest set classics wise. Their swoop is a deluxe, the rest are voyagers and their Grimlock is supposedly an ultra. High quality, awesome bot n dino modes. Toyworlds seem decent but they are so much more expensive than I feel they needed to be even by 3p standards and their shipping boxes are needlessly over sized and heavy which leads to hefty shipping cost on top of that. FP's I'm sure are well made but their designs just rub me the wrong way between all of them having weird awkward proportions and ugly kibble and kinda generic robot/beast modes that I dunno just don't evoke the look of the dinobots well enough.
I think ill need to do some looking around with all this info, any chance of pics next to a classics figure I have most the molds so any will do
GCreations for me, maybe they are a little too g1 looking but I over look that given they are a combiner now.
I know this one goto sirtoys they have kos of the deluxes that are extra large and more to scale with him.
Fp looks slightly better anyone know of a cheap place to get them, im in new Zealand so geting from china and japan can work out cheaper
I love GCreation's Thunderous, and I definitely appreciate what we've seen of their next Dinobot, Growl. I'd still want to see the rest of the Dinobots before I could say they were the best, but Thunderous is definitely at a scale I would expect for Classics Dinobots, and the style and detailing is such a great addition to a figure that still evokes a very G1-esque feel. He was my first 3P purchase and still right up the top for how cool I think he looks.
This. All my dinobots will be Planet X except for MP Grimlock, though that might change when I see Planet X Vulcan, but it would need to be amazing since I love my MP Grimlock, and I love the G1 character aesthetic.
I'm running with GCreation's dinos. They just remind me of my old g1s plus the combiner mode looks to be a beast. Their Grimlock's size difference is the only issue I have with the line but I'll still pick him up.
