I doubt it. The fender pieces on the shoulders match up with the tall hood piece, which looks solid. I doubt it moves at all.

Meh. He isn't bad, but I don't like the design to begin with. I may pick it up just for fun.

    Lazy, and completely without surprise.

It's legion-sized. It's almost the same size as NuRiD Legion Sideswipe.
I'm not one to wave the 3P banner (like AT ALL), but the Iron Factory figure is perfectly good as a Legion Windblade. The articulation and transformation are simple enough that an official version should have been easy to pull off. Unfortunately, the official version is nothing but fail. No shoulder articulation means no purchase by me.

I can see where the forearms may be separated from the wing, but it still doesn't make the shoulders any less wretched.

I can see what you're getting at, but I think the only similarity is that her forearm is large. The shoulders on Blackout actually move, which is the major difference.

    My hero!

The animation has the antlers kind of just... flopping forward. Doesn't look like they actually transform.

I repaint Legion figures all the time, so spending the time and effort is worth it to me. Just not in this case. Unfortunately with Windblade, I'm not seeing anything worth salvaging.

Come to the rescue? Really? I don't think they'd do much of anything different besides add another paint app or change a color.
Has there ever been an example of them changing a Legion/Legends figure's molding?

I honestly don't like being negative about releases like this, but I'm a huge Legion/Cyberverse fan. These just don't look like they're on the same level of awesomeness that even Beast Hunters was on. They're almost a step back, and that's disappointing.

    Wow.

Why is the RID line going to shit now?

Please, Legions are $10 in Canadian, the price we used to pay for Scouts.

To be honest, neither I do. Seems like a lot of effort needed not to spice up the figure, but just to get it to the "passable" level...

That means that there is time for them to be redeveloped. Notice that we haven't gotten a SINGLE official picture of them .

Naw, I went to the doctor, but he said the rash will just go away with time.

I do agree with this, on Legends Rodimus his card art doesn't look like the Blackjack repaint guy, no exhausts on his arms, flames on his chest, spoiler on his back etc etc. If Ultra Magnus gets new card art, then he should get a repaint. Otherwise just give me a white Prime and I'll try and kitbash a Magnus suit.

Ugh, I'm not made of eyes!

Hell, these reveals are a hell of a step back from the NuRID releases, BB, OP and Strongarm are all very strong releases. Sideswipe, Steeljaw and Underbite are OK whereas Fixit is absolutely sublime.

It's a shame Hasbro can't seem to keep their Legions consistant. It's like if a Hasbro/Takara designer does well at this scale they're moved onto other things.

Yeah the new designers they have really aren't as talented as the old guard was.

If it ain't broke don't fix.

It's not only the designers there is seems a focus on making these as simple as possible probably as cost measures. Wingblade is so thin shes practically 2 dimensional. I bet you could pop her pins out if you bent her. :lol

Fully the designers on drift, there doesn't seem a reason to leave part of the bonnet hanging over his head like that, i would rather it become part of the shoulders than be left there.

Sorry i keep venting but need to back away from this thread.

Dude, what are you doing with your toys???

    :)

Drift has the Vehicon car hood effect going on, but it seems a lot less workable. I'm sure it wouldn't take much to modify it, but quite frankly, I'm not sure I'd want to dedicate the time to it unless I was making it into a Generations version of the character.
    Hmmm...

This line is looking more and more like the cheap chinese crappy plastic toys that they sell at the flea markets...only more expensive.
