I'm most disappointed that we got no new legends reveals. Where is Wheelie? Brawn? Kickback? Gnaw??? 30th anniversary of the 86 movie and not even a commemorative figure or a Bluray release???

    Okay, BAD HASBRO.

Fix the colors on victorion and remold that scattershot.
This isn't excusable like scrapper elbows, these are completely unacceptable.

Ok, so... for my own sanity, I may skip the two G2 sets unless they're a good deal. That will help pay for UW Bruticus and hopefully Computron. Definitely in for Vicki. Hopefully they add more silver paint. Maybe the Takara version will have more...

Voyager Scattershot is disappointing. Hope Perfect Effect starts whipping up ideas for making it salvageable... or that Takara takes the slavish G1 route and retools it far more so than the current offering.

G2 Superion and Menasor aren't surprising... That said, they have to be SDCC sets, right? I can't see these sold outside it or say Web stores like TFS/BBTS.

Hasbro can we please get another 2 or 3 bots in the Alpha Bravo mold? It seems as if we don't have enough of them!!!!!!!!!!

Victorion's looking great! The only thing I'm not really a fan of is the heels. :p  Well, she's definitely getting added to my list of TFs to buy. :D  As for Scattershot, it's eh. :/ Probably gonna be a pass. What's definitely gonna be a pass would be the G2 sets. I could barely handle the Gusher-ness of retail FOC Bruticus, and these sets have really vibrant colours (possibly even more than FOC Bruty). Also, adorable reissue Perceptor is adorable. :p

EDIT: Just read through all the other comments on this thread and holy crap. Not even the Bionicle fandom showed this much spite and hatred towards a new wave of toys, and they flipped their shit about how bad the skull-villains looked. O.O Seriously, wtf guys?

That Menasor repaint is spot on. Celebrating the SCOTUS decision. They #nailedIt Hasbro! I think it's their wink, wink nod to show their support.

you all realize that these aren't the final products, right?
there's always a chance that they'll remold something or change the paint scheme. and everything will at least look cleaner on the final toys

Ok, I'll start positive and state that I love the G2 Superion and Meansor. I hope they are sold as a set rather than individually as it would be nice to just pick up the whole thing at once rather than having to hunt for all of the various pieces.

We are finally getting a MP Starscream (MP11) version. Yeah! The Leader class Skywarp and Starscream look nice and will go well with my Thundercracker and Megatron. Now we only need a Soundwave at the Leader scale and his minions to complete the '84 cons.

Bruticus is awesome. that's all that needs to be said about that.

That's all of the positive I can muster at this point. The rest is just disappointing.

I'll start with Victorion. I get that she's just a hand painted sample, but I would hope that the guys at Hasbro could have done a better job at painting it than that. This is a big reveal at a major show. You've got to want to present the toy in the best possible light, not just throw out a toy that looks like it was just hastily painted hours ago. The colors also needs to be broken up a bit with a little more black or silver.

Then there is Scattershot. I'd like to know if we can have more than 4 different molds for 2 years worth of toys. Seriously, it's Silverbolt, Motormaster, Hot Spot and Sky Lynx. That's it apparently. While I appreciate the second attempt to make use of the Silverbolt mold, Hasbro seemed to focus only on changes to Bot and Alt and decided to skip the Combined Bot. Let's not beat around the bush here, it looks like a half-assed attempt to please the fans. Someone needs to ask them on the floor for some clarifications.

    1. Will we see the other Technobots in the near future?
    2. Is this the final prototype? If it is, why didn't they change the combined mold to better match Computron?
    3. If they are releasing the Technobots, will they just be more repaints or will they have new molds?
    4. If this is it and there are no plans for a complete Comuptron then why bother to put this out and disappoint most of the fans?

I'm honestly confused by this. On one side, Hasbro is presenting to the world, a remolded Silverbolt as Scattershot with a new Combiner name, Betatron, that they went thru the motions to copyright and use. So this has to be what they plan to release. But, there are no other Technobots to be seen so why would they go thru the time and trouble to release this if they don't plan to make a full Computron? Hasbro had to know that this would piss fans off. So why present it unless this was it? They would have been better off just skipping the whole damn thing and avoiding the fanrage altogether.

Then there are all of the damn repaints. I had hoped that we'd see at least a half a dozen NEW molds for next year rather than just a bunch of repaints/remolds. Don't get me wrong, Combiner Wars started out great and are fun toys, it's just that we need more than 9 different Deluxes, 4 Voyager molds, 2 Leaders and 4 Legends in two years worth of toys. That's it. Everything else released or shown so far are repaints/remolds of past molds or current ones.

I'm beginning to see why this year's Botocn display was a little lacking compared to previous years. I had thought that they were saving a big release for SDCC, but now it seems that next year isn't going to be a very big year for TFs.

Unless Toy Fare this winter shows otherwise, it looks like they'll be skipping the Beast Wars and RID anniversaries which would be a shame.

I don't think these will be the final versions......at least I hope not

Besides Hasbro has fixed stuff before release in the past (Defensor's bad eye anyone?)

    So..........

Victorian: I understand what they were going for with the color scheme (Plus I want that sword)
    G2 Sets: interesting

Scattershot: Remold the combined mode chest and give him a new Combined Mode head, boom!, Computron torso!

As for the rest of the Technobots, I have a gut feeling that they might be leaked along with Hasbro's Deluxe Groove...........

Scattershot looks pretty good (although I'm disappointed that it's a Silverbolt retool, despite being a good one), but no new combiner head and no other Technobots? Boo. I assume the stupid name of "Betatron" is a rights issue.

The G2 sets are nice but I have no interest in them.

Victorion is nice (although the limitations of the head shape kinda ruined the head) but it probably won't be released in Japan nor over here, and even if it is released over here, it'll be too expensive, so I probably won't be getting Victorion any time soon.

I was really, really hoping for a new Predaking because I wanted a simple, cheaper alternative to all the unofficial ones (and I have Feral Rex, but it's not particularly fun as a set of toys, so I'd rather replace it with a smaller official version). I thought they might use Sky-Lynx and reverse him as with Hotspot so that the head/neck became Rampage's tail, but NOPE.

Overall, it's a decent set of reveals, but pretty average as far as what I'm interested in. And hey, at least I get another shot at getting MP-11 without the dumbass Hasbro Asia price tag.

Victorion - Oh, how my wife was looking forward to you. I think she'll be changing her mind once she sees that you're just other robots in drag. And also that colour scheme. :puke:

Now, after saying how much I hate the colours on Victorion, I have to say how much I freaking love those G2 Stunticons and Aerialbots. Especially Motormaster. I'm sort of glad I didn't grab them on the original release. I just hope they come in gift sets

Heh, as I said to a mate last night... consider this: Victorion is standing next to a G2 repaint, and of the two, the G2 paint job is the one that looks conservative and tasteful... :p

What still gets me is why they just went with making new characters and not new toys of old characters. that and the sickening color scheme
